Will Richard declares for the draft

Probably always a smart move to learn where to improve and come back. Unless of course you don’t come back.

 

Florida Gators guard Will Richard announced he intentions to declare for the 2024 NBA Draft while also maintaining his college eligibility. Richard announced via social media on Wednesday.

“I’m excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft while maintaining my eligibility,” he wrote. “In the event that I return to college, I will be returning to no other than the University of Florida. I have every desire to fulfill my dreams of playing in the NBA and will all for the process and feedback from NBA teams to make a draft decision.”

Hope Will and Walter both return....but I'm very selfish.

 

Great move. I expect both to return with renewed focus on where they can improve

 

Sigh...makes me nervous with two guys declaring. good problem to have I guess.

 

I don't mind them declaring, I just don't like the lost time it creates in the composition of the roster. Have to wait and see if you need to add another player, and you might miss out on one by waiting.

 

good to know that there isn't the third option...playing for a competitor

 

Great to learn what you need to improve on. All should do it,why not

 

Will’s chances of getting drafted this year are zero. Hopefully, he learns what his shortcomings are and works on getting rid of them.

 

Terrific player, loyal to the school, needs another year.

 

I support this move. He'll be back.

 

Hey at least UF has players good enough to test the waters.

If the Gators are going to be in the upper echelons of the SEC this will be a regular occurrence.
