Strike out, ground out to first, infiled single from Otis, then a fly out to center for the Gators in the top of the 1st.
Bulldogs' leadoff batter gets on via a lazy pop up to LF that Otis lost in the sun (sunglasses on!) for a double. Next batter flies out to deep CF, runner moves to 3rd. A ground out to third, followed by a pop out to the catcher ends the inning. Going to the 2nd 0-0.
MSU pitching is much better than advertised. Altho I am not sure why UF is having such a hard time with it.
Walsh leads off with a fly ball to the LF warning track that their left fielder lost in the sun (sunglass on!) for a double. Kistler pops out to shallow left center (CF makes the running catch), Borwn and Kowalewski strike out. Their pitcher is changing speeds a lot and out hitters are being fooled so far.
I begrudgingly acknowledge this MSU team is a very good hitting team - unlike the past MSU teams. I guess their freshmen have really juiced up their offense.
After that easy pop out to 2nd to start the inning, Keagan gives up two straight 2 strike singles to freshman hitters, then a single over shortstop to knock in the first run. Then a hit batter and walk forced in the 2nd run. Hard line out to LF and now Brown comes in to try to get their slugger out to end the inning.
Ava Brown - I like this better than Miller here. Can't walk Kennedy, can't pitch to her - what to do?
