    True.

But Ann Arbor is like Athens, Georgia but better with a better university. And even though there is a lot that is bad about Detroit there is a lot of great stuff. The art museum is awesome and Pewabic pottery is also awesome.

Henry Ford Museum in nearby Dearborn is also cool. I worked at a university 75 minutes from Ann Arbor, and we used to take a day trip there a couple of times a year. I grew up 20 miles from UC Berkeley and Ann Arbor was almost as good in terms of food, bookstores, and ambience

Different strokes. Grew up around and worked in Boca. You couldn’t pay me to live there again.

Figured Id get a response like yours. I'm sure the locals are just fine with your decision. Too many complainers as it is.

For the record, I don't live in Boca, but compared to Mich it would be a no brainer for me. Couldn't pay me to live in the snowbelt. Skiing out west is as close as I need to get.

    Like I said….different strokes. Some
like the concrete jungle, bougie feel of that area and if that’s for them I’ve got no qualms. I’m just saying for some, Ann Arbor would be a step up. I lived down there for about 15 years and my in-laws still live in Coral Springs so we go down frequently. Having lived in both Gainesville and Tampa (current) since, I wouldn’t go back. The cold isn’t for me either as I spent 3 years in Iowa and that was plenty .

Whatever your individual thoughts… FAU has done a phenomenal job marketing it’s “Basketball in Paradise” motto. They have an excellent market/promotions/social media team. I’d rather us pluck a few of those folks, than I would any Owls players!

Ironically, we now also live in the Tampa area, still prefer Lauderdale tho. Most folks I know would say downtown Tampa has become a "concrete jungle" itself and Tampa traffic, well....
But yea, to each his own. Sorry to all for the off topic commentary. .

    Florida
Lived in Illinois for 6 years. Winters are cold but the gray skies and lack of sun during the winter months were depressing. Also lived in NY for 10 plus years. Much prefer the shorts life and living in Florida
