It not a bureaucracy problem in states like Florida, where the LAW IS NOT SUBJECTIVE. California can have all the laws in the world, but that means nothing if their state government disregards the law. Florida does NOT disregard laws like California does. Haven't you figured that out yet? Laws don't mean a thing to activist judges/prosecutors in states like California, but laws still matter in Florida.
Who cares about property rights and ownership! Just when I think delusion can only go so far I read comments like this. Thanks for the belly laugh this morning.
I think having your hand out and looking for public assistance is what’s bad for society. Support yourself and stop waiting for others to help you.
No you don’t … you were giddy about getting private school voucher money from the government. Or maybe you are admitting you’re what’s wrong with America?
There’s a big difference between seeking help and accepting a benefit. I could more than pay for my kids tuition and probably yours, although I doubt you can procreate.
My advice is to learn how to support yourself instead of putting your hand out. Stop waiting for others to help you and help yourself. Maybe pick up another job so you arent a drain to society.
Actually struggling to see how we disagree there. People should try to help themselves first and foremost.
You are clueless if you think this isn't already happening ... here is a RED county in the Free state of Florida that does just that ... they demolish slums, place a lien against the property for the cost of demolition, then foreclose on the lien and take the property if the land owner does pay up (and get the land for free if the cost of the demolition and clean up is more than the raw land value) ... New Port Richey blighted homes ordinance passes unanimously (baynews9.com) And here is a success story about how it used in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity to demolish and rebuild a slum lord neighborhood into something nice and affordable... Pasco County and New Port Richey team up to fix blighted area (tampabay.com)
He might lack the class and sophistication of someone named "magnetofsnatch," but I'm sure he does OK.
Squatters rights? A squatter should have no rights and hopefully this legislation passes quickly and this problem is eliminated in Florida.
Big change in how to deal with squatters in Florida if this gets signed Victory For Property Owners as Bill Evicting Squatters Immediately Passes With Unanimous Support (msn.com) Florida recently passed a bill unanimously that offers a fresh approach to dealing with squatters. This law allows for law enforcement to evict squatters immediately, surpassing the often lengthy and very complicated court process that are the standard for eviction. This is a huge shift in the way squatting cases are dealt with, with the objective being to provide faster resolutions for property owners that are dealing with these issues. The new law allows police to eliminate squatting on a property without the authorized lease from the owner. This alteration to the previous eviction process simplifies the entire endeavor for landlords, who before were forced to navigate the prolonged and expensive legal process to reclaim their properties from squatters. .................................. The bill has passed through both chambers of the Florida Legislature and is now just waiting for Governor Ron DeSantis to sign off on it. If he does sign the bill into law it will expedite the removal of squatters and also provide recourse for illegally evicting tenants.
MODS HELP! SOMEBODY HAS CLEARLY HACKED WPB’s ACCOUNT WITH THIS OFFENSIVE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY SCREED!!
Let me poke the bear a little here with some of the left that seem to have a big problem with squatters. What is the difference between someone illegally squatting on your property vs someone illegally squatting in your country?
