Anybody else think it’s weird that Barnard pinch ran for Ava in a 2-2 count? And then Ava didn’t come back into the game at 1B where she normally plays. Hope Ava is not hurt

 

Erikson has really laid some eggs in her clutch a bats today.

Good sign to see Miller back out. 14 lob is way too many.

 

I thought it was weirder that Goddard ran for Falby. Why ever pr for Falby and why Put Goddard with all her injury history in to a game like that. Close game with winning run on the line... by all means.

 

FGCU have two good pitchers that didn't see the field yesterday. If I was one of those girls, I would be upset I didn't get a chance to pitch against one of the best teams in the country. Makes no sense to me why they didn't get to play.

 

Both of those hit me at the time. Best guess......it's a nine-hour bus round-trip. Gotta suck to sit all that time, suit up, and not do jack. Morale booster to at least get to do something.

 

In person was not much better. Whoever designed this stadium and the UNF stadium was not planning on attending a game. When row #1 is close to the plate but 15 feet straight up, sight lines are compromised.

That said, every single seat was taken. Even couples were having to split up to sit.

 

Unless you’re really trying to call balls and strikes, which is a futile exercise lol, I actually like being up a bit. I like sitting in the diamond deck at the new baseball stadium. You can get really good reads on fly balls off the bat from up there, but you’re still right on top of the action.

 

I also figured it was just to get them some work. I did expect to see a dozen “concerned” posts about it, but only saw one or two. Everyone must’ve taken their xanax yesterday.
