    Yes.

One was a 2x landslide winner.
One is a (potential 2x) loser.

Then you should probably familiarize yourself with Nazis. You seem to have missed those classes.

Bush won two times, I dont see any slavish devotion to his memory, so I dont think electoral success has much to do with it

    Hint: "landslide"

Ronnie was pretty popular with people outside of his party relative to what we see today.

    Again... Nowhere near the same.

Dubya was a better POTUS than some will admit, but far less popular than Reagan.

And his mistakes were pretty glaring whereas Reagans arent viewed historically in the same negative light.

Indeed, Trump is basically a 'Reagan Democrat,' so we can thank Ronny for that. He produced a natural heir it seems.

Or maybe there just isnt much of a difference between those things when you are rich and dont care much about culture war issues because they dont affect you

I think most of America would like to see it disintegrate quickly like that, but a more palatable trump will emerge because now they have set the base for this "new republican" party.
If and when he loses again, will we see more unrest from the natives or will they go back under their rocks?

Didn't he try running as a Green Party candidate? He is definitely on tape talking about how the economy has done better under dems and how he supports a woman's right to choose. The followers just ignore it. They are literally in love with him.

A more palatable Trump is just a hard nosed righty. I'm ok with that. My issue with Trump isnt where he stands on many issues. (I use stands loosely irt Trump.)

What I mean is i dont take issue with the concept of better borders, reworking health care. My issue isnt where he stands on issues. Ots how he handles them... Or doesnt handle them... And how terrible he is at his approach to those who disagree.

I mean who doesnt support a better healthcare option that is never presented, or the most amazing infrastructure week that never came, or a border policy of demonization and inaction, or support for a balanced budget that never comes, or a cheer leader for the economy with the right wing publications depending on who is the president? Some good old policies of Donald Trump.

He just talks to get applause. If there is any doubt about his efficacy as a leader, listen to those who worked under him in his administration. There are legions of those who left that said he was flat-out awful, AT BEST, dangerous at worst, at being President.

Forget the civil fraud judgments, forget the criminal charges, forget the obnoxious rhetoric, heck forget his election lies. JUST LISTEN TO THOSE WITH PERSONAL, FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WORKING ONHIS ADMINISTRATION. He was abysmal!!!!

This is all sort of my point. Conservative policies are not the issue many of us have with him. Its all of the stuff you guys mentioned that is the issue, so a tamed down version that actually does what Trump screams about doing is quite palatable to many of us who have abandoned him and his party.

Lolwut. No kidding his mistakes were more glaring than Reagan. Dubya made one of the worst historical American follies in invading Iraq. That alone makes him one of the worst Presidents of all time. He actually had higher than Reagan approval ratings in the wake of 9/11. All he had to do is finish the job in Afghanistan, and taking out OBL could have been his “tear down this wall” moment. Instead we got “mission accomplished” in Iraq (wrong country) and Obama’s admin had to clean up the mess with OBL and ISIS (ISIS a byproduct of Iraq invasion). That he left behind the financial crisis on the way out the door was just the icing on the cake. Approval went from 90% to something like 22%. His paper record was actually far worse than Trump, but he didn’t try to overthrow the govt and mostly stayed out of politics since leaving office, so I guess he’s got that going for him. W got a legacy bounce because even that mess of a historical record looks good next to the unamerican orange traitor.

When you think back to 9/11 and look what a clown “America’s mayor” became. Between him and W’s disaster, it’s no wonder the GOP went crazy.

He doesn’t have ANY conservative policies. His policy is self aggrandizement and enrichment and!pursuit of grievances no matter the legality. He’s an opportunist who sides with your team out of expediency. He’d sell your mother if it was for a good price. Frankly no one is buying the whole “ I like what he does but not the way he conducts himself” bit. You (writ large) not only like the total package you LOVE it. Damn the consequences to America.

You (writ large) are repulsive to me and decent, patriotic people who have until recently have been proud to be American. When I travel overseas I don’t flash by passport any more. I take out either my British or Irish passport.
