It's possible he just got lucky as hell, but it's one of the many things I like about CTG. He seems to see talent. Time will tell if it's a fluke or not

I have a feeling it was not a fluke. He knew what he was getting in Pullin, having coached in California. Tyrese is a warhorse that could compete at a high level. Handlogten was FOTY in his conference. The big steals were Condon and Haugh, which made up the lowest-ranked freshman class in the SEC, but who turned out to be among the best freshmen in the league. Most of us figured they would be projects, but here they are tearing it up with athleticism and skill.

A cool reminder as to what an elite program Billy D molded!

But Gator fans need to understand what our place is as a basketball school and check our expectations......

Sarcasm in case people miss it. I get we don't have the fan fare of a UNC, Kentucky or Kansas but Billy showed what our ceiling was. Not to expect final fours and elite 8s at that same clip but to act like we didn't give Mike white time was irritating.

Back to Todd Golden, making the tournament in year 2 is a little more encouraging for future prospects of the team because this is a team he built. It might be difficult to replicate given the new transient roster culture of college sports but it's pretty satisfying to see what he has done so far.

UF is an elite basketball program, it's just that the gatekeepers to awarding that status won't concede that.

I lamented his reversal bigly early on in the season. Given the way these guys have performed, I totally forgot about Jarvis until now. Hope he's doing great with his other endeavors and am ecstatic that the Gators have not suffered his absence (thank you Samuel, Handles, Condon and Haugh).

NOT to mention that the hoops team now has a lifetime .500 record! First time in 80 years or something like that!
