Why not? We play at similar pace to those guys. 117 in regulation in league play is crazy, but we’ve had a bunch of high scoring games this year. More than a few where we had a 100 point pace but maybe slowed down late to “only” score 80’s or 90’s.
They lost a game in between, the back to back Q1 games have been rough for all SEC teams. UK lost to UF and UT in back to back games earlier this season.
I have to agree. Kentucky I think is a lot like our team. They can be great one day and mediocre the next. Both the gators and the cats are great on offense and marginal on defense. Hope the gators have saved this type of game for tournament time.
Yeah they kind of took their foot off the gas in the last five minutes. So like the gators versus Vandy. We could’ve easily won that game by 25 if we left all the starters in.
Yeah, they basically had the game of their lives. Hopefully they got that out of their system in case we run into them in the SEC tourney.
Yeah, hopefully we can cause them to jibe and capsize when they come to the odome in a couple of weeks. (Sorry for the sailing analogy.)
Kentucky beat number 13 Auburn and number 13 Alabama in back to back Saturdays. Are they Q1 games? Of course UK lost to LSU in the middle.
I've said it many times... there are SEC teams that rotate being the sports media darlings every year. Bama, Tennessee, USCe, TAMU, LSU, Arkansas. There are only two SEC blueblood basketball programs... UK and UF. UK is well above us from a historical perspective, but the past 20-30 years, UF has put in serious work. Those other schools get hot and flame out. I will not believe in any SEC team until they go all the way or do more than a random Final Four every 30 years.
