If that’s true that’s crazy how our former DL coach allowed cox to do that then princely the year after
That’s why he’s always running his mouth all over social medias because he’s more concerned about what people think than actually winning football games.
It will be interesting in these NIL and Transfer Portal times to see how players react to changing programs and what they have to say about ex-teammates and coaches. Social media and the new rules leave the door open for players to criticise more than in the past IMO. The ole, coach is god, and keep your mouth shut, may be going out of vouge.
It’ll always be best to not air your bs. The next coach or employer will already have an opinion before you get to make a first impression. Team first players tend to be winners and selfish ones tend to be a problem. I’d guess nfl players that are on a new team every couple of years arent especially valued as the players that are kept for their entire careers and that’s not always because of talent.
If I recall correctly, the Pittsburgh Steelers of late 70s to mid 80s vintage didn’t have one trade on their roster - they were all brought up through the draft and through their organization. Their ‘theme song’ was the Sister Sledge tune “We Are Family”. They also went 4-0 in super bowls.
CORRECTION: Being a life time Pittsburgh Pirate fan, I need to correct you on that. It was in fact the theme song of the 1979 World Series Champs Pittsburgh Pirates.....not the Steelers
The two worst things that happened to Princely this year was Boone getting hurt and staying on Twitter. The dude wasn’t perfect this year but he definitely wasn’t getting help either. Half of Gator Twitter just looked for reasons to beef with him though.
That was before free agency. That kicked in after the Cowboys dominant three super bowl champs in four years in the 90’s. Rarely have had consistent rosters after free agency. Like college now.
Yeah, and tell me when these players just "vote" coaches out football altogether... inmates running the asylum.
College football rosters always churned every 4 years and then 3 when stars departed for the NFL. Now you have to fight to keep the freshman that did not play in year 1 and fight to keep your starters that want a pay raise
You got my attention about Ole Miss "buying" two starting offensive lineman from Washington. That must suck for any staff whom invested in developing these young men.
Personally speaking I don't need Kenny Dillingham to preach to social media that kind of crap. "I literally spent 9 years of my life doing anything to become a coffee boy. So, don't give me the 'Oh, it's hard to be a coach right now.' Yeah, it's hard. Then quit." Really Kenny? Well I spent 10 years on the other end of a flathead shovel making grade for underground pipe at Kings Bay, GA building Kings Bay Naval Base. I would have been more than happy trading my shovel work in 105 degree heat and humidity for your cushy ass coffee boy job. BTW - Coaching football is a societal luxury and not a necessity. I will be glad to engage "coffee boy" on the relative merits of either occupation, anytime.
I don't know the rules, but as long as the OLman is in front of the Dman, the OL can hold on with both hands inside the shoulder pads and never get called. Once the DL guys gets by the OLman, they call the hold unless the OLmand plays for the KC Chiefs. you should know that this is fail with pics of the smaller moms
