Unfortunately there are some here who will spin anything that happens into an opportunity to bash our program. It’s annoying and destructive, but they just pile it on anyway like a giant temper tantrum. Unfortunately the only thing that can lift this cloud of negativity off our program is winning.

Welcome to Gator Country! While your intent may have been to draw out more information on the commit, the assessment you provided that it was a trollish question, is fair. It would be one thing if you had thousands of posts under your belt that established you as pro Gator. However, when new, if you come out of the gates insinuating that UF is a placeholder for their arguably biggest rival, then people will assume the worst.

If you are in fact an optimist, I suggest establishing that reputation prior to becoming the Diane Sawyer of GC with hard hitting questions. Again, welcome aboard!

If everyone would just block the trolls, they could only troll other trolls. Think of what a useful board GC could be when they fall silent and real discussions between actual Gator fans could be had. Time is too precious in life to deal with their BS. Go Gators!
