Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Do we replace him or do we use the extra position for special teams? Offensive coordinator? It is clearly an opportunity to make a significant change.

Well that solves the disastrous 2 OL coach experiment. For now…….

It was my understanding that CBN attempted to bring in an OC, but was not able to get his guy. I do not think he would bring some one in just because there was a spot.

I am not as opposed to the two offensive line coaches as other on this board, having seen it work with Urban. However, It strikes me that you can have an "Analyst" that is not on the side line for every position on the offensive line, but it would help more to have a special teams coach talking to the players on the sideline during the game.

I wonder if there is such a thing as "his guy" coach from which to choose. I would love to know the definition of his type of OC.. his guy. Is he fast on his feet, quick to react to situational football? Does he know more than just the 11 and 12 personnel offensive sets? That's a plus...

I have wondered this as well. I am not an expert, but I just get the feeling that the last two seasons have been attempts to hide deficiencies rather than exploit strengths on offense. As others have noted, we do not use tempo. On the other hand, you need to walk before you can run, and, if you cannot execute the offense consistently while huddling, running to the line only creates more mistakes.

It's possible this move will allow the guy to be the ST's coach instead of the analyst.

Perhaps he moves the guy he just bought in as a special teams coordinator to on the field coach or he moves Calloway to Co-OC on the field coach and special teams coach.

OC and special teams coaches needed. No analyst. If CBN can't do this he will be gone. Same as Golden if he can't make the tournament This is The University of Florida. We do not accept mediocre. If these two guys fail, The AD will follow them out the door. I am getting past tired of this.

I've said it before, and I will say it again: our offense wasn't the problem last season. The stats and numbers support that sentiment.

    But, carry on.

when I look at the NIL mess and the lack of progress with big 2 programs - (bball getting better though)
I think we all see a frustrating mess. I don’t think that’s how UF sees it though. They would say - high graduation rates, great in all sports, academic all Americans… they would tout golf and volleyball and success of student athletes etc… I don’t think we are seeing the same picture they are painting

Charlie Weis Jr. would have been a good hire. Too bad it didn't work out.
