    Exactly.
He looked at the team OSU has put together(big portal gets), sees Harbaugh gone and knows now is the best time for OSU to get a Natty so he can go help win one as OC (way less stress than HBC) for a team in a dead conference.
Hell if Ryan Day gets canned he might even try to angle for the HBC job, Chip is a master at that.

Y’all are ridiculous crying about a guy we knew nothing about before we hired him. I’m sure we can replace him with another guy we know nothing about.

I think it’s funny that we’ve split into two camps on this - the “this is super important” camp and the “it’s just an s&c coach we knew nothing about” camp.
I fall into the former. The things we heard from players leaving was a lot about development, what we saw in the 2nd half of games was not good… and CBN tried to fix it. A few of the players have come out in the last month and said “last year was really Lax and mainly about running whereas this guy is about strength and a 4th quarter mentality” and in just a few short weeks he had really started to build something better.
The S&C coach is with the players more than any other coach and really can build a mentality. Look at that list of quality S&c coaches and see how it directly ties to winning programs. I heard Shane Matthews yesterday being pretty flippant about this and I completely disagree. Billy needs to get this right

Come on peeps. It's just too damn hot in Gainesville. Guy had the opportunity to bolt back to NE and took it. I get it. Screw that heat and humidity.

Actually, we are. You said "Athletic Department", not football program. UF has one of the best athletic programs in the nation, despite our football problems.

Count me in the group of "this is pretty important" but also fixable.
While I don't like that our original S&C apparently wasn't that good, I do like that CBN tried to fix it.
If the first fix fails- that's ok. Do it again.
Life is full of failure- it's how you deal with failure that determines your future.

It’s super important but not rocket science you wouldn’t think. It’s not like trying to find the next guy to make a statue for.

My man Pat Moorer. THIS is the one UF should bring in. LB for UF in late 80s. Played a few years in NFL Europe. Got in to Strength and Conditioning Coaching in 92. Been Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at South Carolina, Louisville, TexasAustin and South Florida. Currently an assistant with Houston Texans. Many here may know him. I do. Tough, tough, tough. A Gator. From The Old School. It is time.

Is he still interested in strength and conditioning and moving from the NFL to college? They need to make a move. They need to make it fast.
