Reminds me of that line from SEC Shorts: “Greg, that $8,000,000 buyout isn’t going to last forever.”

I can see this. He has been the chief architect at Alabama and Georgia of some of the greatest college defenses in the last twenty years. He has coached in the NFL. He has been a head coach at two SEC schools. He has earned generational wealth. He is 52. Maybe he wants to take a step back and enjoy a private life enhanced by the wealth he has obtained...

I think he means as our coach. They had some of the greatest college defenses when they played muschamps gators.

Alright, heavily involved... but, seriously, as long as he had Urban's recruits, his Florida defenses were really good... You just can't play defense for 40 minutes a game.

Oh, you are right. He coached with Saban at LSU and they broke up while they were at Miami...

Highest position he’s held at Georgia is co-dc. He’s never been the chief architect of anything at bama or jawga.

I like Muschamp. Snotty comments aside, he gave his best shot.
I believe he made his mark as a DC at LSU (Apparently Saban liked him), Auburn and Texas (HC in waiting). He clearly had a learning curve as a HC at UF. Of course he inherited the dumpster fire that Urban the Magnificent left behind after his nervous breakdown or whatever. By the way, folks forget that in the season that sealed his fate the injuries were so bad that he started a walk on at LB against FSU. And nobody succeeds for long at USCe, including Spurrier. But, it probably makes people feel good to sit on their butts and throw pebbles at him.
