FSU Suing ACC over withdrawal Fee

I know it’s not football, but since the last expansion Vandy has won 4 national titles. More or equal to probably half or more of the leagues teams. So they aren’t entirely slouches.

Those games rarely make tv unless it’s sec network.very little interest in a team that doesn’t try to win.

 

Yep, they are good a some sports but they don’t bring in the cash and they don’t spend it trying.

I can’t imagine the ACC not fighting to the bitter end to avoid setting the precedent that other teams will then follow. It would seem that the entire survivability of that conference rides on stopping ref$u from jumping ship. Stop them at all costs

They tried to win our game in 22- and they succeeded.

 

The players try just fine, but if the best they can do is beating the worst gator team in history, they don’t have much to show for it

 

Why do you want to pick on the pinheads so much? They show up and play and beat us from time to time. They help us generate TV revenue just the same as South Carolina, who ain't much better. They have beaten the Vols in recent years.

Generally, they are a win, we get the same $$, and from an academic standpoint, they are a huge credit to a conference mostly made up of redneck schools that only care about football.

 

I’m just more for separating football from academics. They really have nothing to do with each other and Vanderbilt endowment is just fine without getting football money that they are not earning. I’m fine with conferences giving different amounts or percentages to teams depending on if they are spending that money trying to actually build their program. Football program not academic program.

 

Then just follow the NFL.

College football teams play for colleges.

I'm pretty ticked off about the unfair treatment in conferences, totally believe every team should get the same perks. I get that brand strengths differ, but the current setup doesn't feel fair. I know Vanderbilt's getting a lot of backing, and they could make even more money if they up their game. But it bugs me to think about how media rights might be handed out to other schools if Vandy gets a bigger chunk. I'm not sure if the ACC could keep airing games with less viewers, given how GOR works. And even though it might not be realistic, people are talking about how much pull the ACC has if a school decides to leave. I kinda think FSU might be planning to use Florida's taxpayer money to make the ACC's legal bills too high to handle, aiming for a payoff so they can leave. The lawsuit seems more about keeping the exit costs down than actually fighting the exit itself. It's a complex situation with potential long-term implications.

 

Then it should also be separated from the "University of Florida".
