Recruited in 2015....redshirted in 2016...congrats to the Canes who lured him with orange tennis balls for the feet on his walker and some geritol. Miami TE Cam McCormick to return for a ninth season of college football in 2024 - Yahoo Sports
Hahaha! You beat me to it! 9th season of eligibility, unreal. This guy is practically in a different generation compared to a freshman teammate.
That’s insane. How is that even possible? Even with the covid year crap, that pushes it from 6 to 7 if you get a redshirt AND Medical. Did this guy get like 3 medical redshirts? I swear just the other day I saw Tua’s brother was denied a 6th year because he took like 3 snaps in a game. I know all the NIL trash is not the NCAA’s fault and even transfer rules are somewhat in the courts now. But the way they rule on eligibility issues can still be pretty mental. This guy has basically been allowed to have two college careers.

He had 2 major injuries that kept him out for close to 4 years.plus his COVID year. He did earn a Bachelor's and Master's degree and is working on a second Master's.
This isn't totally unprecedented. Big Boogie turned down a 10-year scholarship offer to go to school in Jacksonville!
You guys need to stop making fun of my dad. Yes… he’s in his 9th year of college, but he’s been there for me from Kindergarten to my freshman year of high school while still being a student athlete.
