Jedd Fisch (UF grad) is the new HC @ Washington

Depends on who you ask around here, some are fine with that timeline.

Fan bases get mad at coaches that leave all the time. But they're also professional people doing a job. You don't expect employees to stay for their entire career. It's pretty normal though for college students to go to one school for 4 years.

 

Especially since he and Howie were roommates.

 

Both players and coaches are driven by money and neither is loyal to a school, is the overarching point.

 

To be fair, the tenures of Gator coaches tend to conclude in the middle of the season. If one ever ended at the end of the year, we’d probably witness a speedier hiring process.

Bummer for us it would have been nice to have him in a less desirable spot for another year or two for no reason at all.

Brennan was a finalist three years ago. Would have been a good hire then, coming off a WAC Championship. Since then, been about a .600 coach with two winning seasons and a 5-7 season at SJSU. Which isn't bad, considering SJSU has some of the worst facilities and budget in D1. Brennan also has Arizona ties, as his brother was a WR on the 12-1 1998 team, and Brennan's first job was a Grad Assistant under Dick Tomey.

The big question now is will the star QB and WR combo of Fifita and MacMillan stay in Tucson or follow Fisch to Seattle. Early rumors are they are staying, but top returning WR and S are leaving. Time will tell.
