I guess "realistic candidate" is the debatable point.....but I would be elated with either Kasich as a Republican or Klobuchar as a Dem. I certainly am comfortable neither is a divisive twit

I’m pretty sure that Republicans rejected Kasich for not being a Republican.

That's on Congress, IMO, not the president. I'm more interested in gaining control of it rather than the WH. I just turned 80, a year younger than Biden. There's no way he's mentally fit for office and I'm still sharp for my age. I simply wouldn't have the sharpness, or stamina, for that job......but I'll vote for him if Trump is the nominee.

PS: You make good points, so I reserve the right to change my mind once I learn more about her.

^ bolsters my contention that 117 voted for a demented elderly man and 81 million voted against the locus of their personal struggles.

If Haley is the nominee, the Dems will find a candidate in door #2. Too many senate seats open to risk.

Haley doesn’t have the clout with the Republican in Congress. Likely just a tax bill if she is the President. Maybe a 15 week ban. Definitely nothing different on the border and more of the same. It’s the new abortion. Do nothing about it so it’s always an issue.

Yeah that's why I won't vote for a Republican, period. A vote for 1 Repub is a vote for all Repubs and that party is run by lunatics now. Even reasonable moderate Repubs (if you can find any) end up caving to the crazies.

It's time this country has had a woman president. Anybody voting for Trump or Biden over Haley is a sexist and is holding his country back.

At least you acknowledge that politics is a type of derangement.

Well, given the fact you have no idea my stance on those topics it might prove somewhat difficult....you on the other hand have provided ample ammunition during your bizarre tenure here

How do you see Trump running as a third party candidate if he losses the Republican nomination to Haley? I think every other party with ballot access will have their nominee by then and it is too late for Trump's team to get on the ballot as an Independent.

Agree on Democrat running Candidate behind door #2. Pretty sure that door is located in Sacramento and leads to a candidate who's name rhymes with Lavin Moosum.

Not sure. How did Lieberman do it after losing his primary in the Senate race?

Lieberman team had already been collecting signatures ahead of time and had enough to get ballot access after he lost. That was 2006. A lot of, if not most states, now have sore loser laws that would prevent Trump from being able to get on the ballot as an Independent. I think he could get on some ballots but I'm not sure if those states are swing states.

The bigger issues are does Trump have the organization and money to do it. I'm not sure that Trump campaign staff would be willing to follow him off that cliff. They all need a future in Republican politics and doing that would be a career killer. Is Trump really going to spend millions of dollars he needs elsewhere to do it?

I guess he could for the nomination of another party but it might be too late and he is not really a good fit for any of them.
