He worked with Sale when he was also with the Giants. I wonder if he had a hand in this? And if so, is Sale going to be around going forward?
NY Giants? The 2023 NY Giants? The NY Giants that currently have the 6th worst offense in the NFL? Those NY Giants? SMDH.
Oh, and while I'm ranting.... ANOTHER hire where one of the criteria (maybe the main criteria) is that the candidate is the buddy/former co-worker of someone currently in the athletic department!? Color me unsurprised. As I said in a different thread: the hiring process for UF football is broken.
This is another of those if you are looking for something negative to complain about you can find it. Some are just perpetually uptight and unhappy. You meet them a lot in the real world.
Coach Chaos, Coach Sale, and now Fitz from one of worst NFL teams in the league. Hopefully he makes us stronger up front!!! Glad change is occurring.
Fitzgerald notably worked with Florida legend Steve Spurrier at South Carolina from 2009-2011. The Gamecocks won a school-record 11 games and finished in the Associated Press Top 10 for the first time in school history in Fitzgerald's final season with the program. “I feel very good about turning our strength and conditioning program over to Craig," Spurrier said of Fitzgerald upon hiring him in 2009. "I was really impressed with him and how he motivates the players.” https://247sports.com/college/flori...ngth-and-conditioning-coach-giants-223883524/
I'm sure there was some input. But I was thinking something more recent. Sale worked with him 2 years ago, SOS 12 years ago. Both were probably a reference.
