How many threads have we had over the years here touting how many viewers Fox has? And yet, whenever something stupid or offensive from Fox is posted here, we get the same old dismissive "who cares? no one watches that crap" Conservative outrage over the video has been covered by plenty of hardly obscure media - New York Times, New York Post, The Hill ... By the way, would you have known about the school board member who was sworn in with banned books had not someone dug it up here?

I didnt say that. I said their numbers are relatively small. Less than 1% of the populace watches their primetime shows. Dancing with the stars dwarfs it and I dont know anyone that watches that either.
So what, for example, led the majority of republicans to believe that the election was stolen, if not the right wing media? Careful and detailed analysis of voting records and patterns? Or believe that Biden has completely opened the borders? Or that Trump had us energy independent?
But the stuff on Fox and other RW media gets propagated throughout the right-wing universe via word of mouth, social media, etc. And anytime I'm traveling in the South, and step into a place that has a TV on, Fox is very often what is playing on that TV. It was a near constant at my mother's assisted living facility.
Thats a valid point about social media spread etc, but again most of that is much smaller numbers than we would assume. 99% of us, right or left are just working, raising our kids, watching Gators games etc. It's like football. If you hop over and read the Den or even Swamp Gas you would think that the entire Gator Nation is melting down, when 99% of fans don't even care enough to join the message board universe. Perception in these forums is far from reality. Sports, politics etc.
I understand the overall point, but if Fox News' influence is greatly exaggerated vis a vis its percentage of the market share, just imagine how very minuscule the numbers must be for drag shows.
I think liberals are addicted to watching Fox. I think they thrive on the adrenaline from being triggered. It's the same reason they continue to harp on Trump ..... it's a natural high for them. Liberals live to rage. Just read the thread @ "The coming Trump Neofascist crackdown if he wins:". It's almost like they are passing the bong for hours on end ..... getting higher and higher from their TDS-driven rants and rage. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
