TikTok users were shocked to see UPS driver's paycheck. Here's how much drivers will soon be making. that is about 15.00 a hour more than me, and i have 39 years in
I don't have a problem with what USPS pays their workers. I just have a problem with USPS workers who complain about what other workers get.
Seems crazy to me, but it’s a free market negotiated wage. I think it shows in how poor of shape most people are. There isn’t really stopping most people from doing this apart from being in terrible physical condition.
I’m confused, the article talks about $45 an hour, but then claims your average full time driver will be making $170k a year. Those numbers don’t add up. Depending on where you live, $45 an hour is not a lot of money if you have a full household living off that salary. $170k OTOH seems ridiculously high for driving around delivering packages.
The 170k includes healthcare and other benefits. And it comes at the end of the 5 year contract just negotiated.
I stick a stamp on something and gets anywhere I want it to go in a matter of days and vice versa, its probably one of the best government services there is lol
Yeah, they said his before tax check was about 2K per week. That is a little over 100K per year, not 170. Definitely includes the labor burden. The other thing that is confusing is the intermingling of UPS and USPS in this thread. This article was about UPS (brown shirts and trucks) not USPS which is Newman from Seinfeld correct?
Not only that, you get all that for just 66 cents. Miami to Honolulu? Yeah 66 cents. Portland Maine to Portland Oregon? That's just 66 cents sir. WHAT A DEAL!
