Somebody was going to get snubbed this year! You had to let Alabama in after winning the SEC against the reigning SEC and national champion Bulldogs. And Texas, well they just destroyed a good Okie State team to win the Big 12 championship AND they are the only team to have beaten Alabama this year The other 2 teams were, (like FSU) also 13-0 Power 5 champions. So somebody had to get snubbed in a 4 Team Playoff scenario. The 2023 Noles can get in line behind perfect SEC Champion 2004 Auburn and complain, it ain't gonna make a difference. Deion's correct on both accounts, imo. I don't think that it's only about $ though. Bama was the better team with the better resumé.
Texas beating Bama killed FSU. Dropping UGA to 6th was unprecedented but meaningless, as they play FSU anyway. CFP committee set FSU up last week when they dropped from 3 to 4 after beating us. They should have seen it coming.
And they were actually given a shot. Had then went in and blown out Louisville they likely would, have been in. But they showed who they really were without Travis and got dropped. As they would have had it been mid season as well(consider that).

This! They struggled against us and Louisville. They needed a little nudge from their refs in both of those games plus Miami. It was pretty apparent that the ACC told their refs that FSU would not be losing those games.
They played LSU when they were ranked 5. We just suck. I think that's a fair ooc and consistent with what we do.
Deion says that the main reason FSU was not considered by the committee is because, as good of a record as they had, Norvell did not wear the correct sun glasses. Hey, it happens.
