I'm not "in the know" by any means, but I haven't seen anything saying that anyone will be definitely retained. But again, I don't have any inside contacts like some do.
. The team is 5-7. The worst performing units the last 2 years have been DL and Secondary. It’s not that shocking and to me it shows Napier sees the urgency that change is needed.
Initially this seemed like wild speculation... During the season I thought that the players were either not being coached or were not listening to the coaches or that many of the players were somehow not playing as well as they did in high school. To let a good recruiter go indicates there must've been some big failing elsewhere. So, maybe this is more likely than I originally thought.
What recruits has Raymond been responsible for? It seems to me that even though we've landed some very highly rated commits, we're still chasing numbers. If Raymond was all that, I just think we'd be humming a little better in secondary recruiting and guys knocking down our door to play here. That's at least based on how lofty the Raymond hire was made out by the various sports media.
