If Michigan, Washington, FSU and Texas all win Saturday and Alabama beats Georgia, would the SEC be left out of the playoffs? Texas is currently ranked higher than Alabama and beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa. How could they justify leaving a conference champion Texas out of the playoff?
That’s two different criteria. Most likely to win is based on how they’re playing now. Most deserving is based upon season performance.
Yes and it changes every playoff committee. Some seem to vote with most deserving in mind and some seem to vote with who will most likely win.
Greetings fellow Huntsvillian. I think if Bama wins they go in the place of UGA. Let’s make it fun and drop FSU and put Texas in too.
Quite the contrary. Bama Michigan Texas Washington. The committee laughs at FSUs schedule and is personally offended
If it came down to it, yes I’d want them to win over Georgia. Only because I don’t want a 3 peat. That would just be bad
If SWAC were playing the University of Al-Qaeda, I would be in the stands waving a crescent moon. You have just described the one scenario in which I would desperately cheer for Georgia.
I hate them both about equally but Georgia is killing us worse in recruiting and winning 3 in a row would guarantee them top classes for years to come. Swac is catching up in recruiting but they’re not killing it the way Georgia is. Plus I never want to see any team win 3 straight unless it’s the Gators. Trust me, I hate the noles a lot and my sentiment comes purely from recruiting logic and preventing a rival from having the most supreme dynasty in my lifetime.
Holy shit yall! UGA--FSU natty? That's Stephen King shit right there. I'd be shitfaced in denial for a week.
An undefeated conference champion from a power five conference will not be left out in favor of a one loss team, period. Ain’t gonna happen. And Bama can beat UGA and they won’t jump a one loss Texas. Head to head matters.
Ah, school with a circus! I’ve been trying to figure that one out for years and I think I just got it!
IMO, until the SEC loses a NC game, they will get a one-loss UGa in the playoff, at least a 4-seed. And I think they would still beat a 1-seed Michigan.
