Speaking as someone you’d probably consider far-right, I would say that South Carolina is home to possibly the two craziest human beings on the planet - Lindsey Graham and Nikki Haley.
I wouldn't doubt that Trump got plenty of cheers in South Carolina. He also got some honorable boos. Even in South Carolina.

It's the only way Trump can speak to a big crowd any more. All of his rallies have lots of empty seats and the filled ones start clearing out before he's done bloviating.
In contrast to Trump they're probably among the saner politicians in the Republican Party and as far as Lindsey Graham is concerned when he had a close political relationship with John McCain he was among the more independent politicians in the party. After McCain passed Lindsey's head went up Trump's ass. Although I probably wouldn't vote for Nikki Haley in the general election based on philosophic differences she is probably the Republican presidential candidate that's most like Ronald Reagan probably the most admired Republican politician in the last 50 years. In today's Republican party she is considered a near RINO.

Although Trump probably received more cheers than boos the crowd response was nowhere close to the adoration that he received when he attended the Alabama-LSU game in 2019. President Trump cheered overwhelmingly at Alabama-LSU game
Why hasn't Trump appeared at a UF game? If he's a Gator fan (he lives in Florida, after all), wouldn't it be great if they let him be Mr. Two Bits? Of course he would stop in the middle of the cheer to rant about judges, district attorneys, "crooked Joe Biden," and everyone else who is out to get him. Trump calling someone a crook. I wish I could laugh. Nothing about him is funny. Well, maybe covfefe.
