Heck, they put this 75 year old man in prison. for nothing other than daring to politically oppose Desi and his friend that develops the Villages. plastered him across the papers as a felon. broke him emotionally, physically, and financially.

So egregious the judges panel required the court to enter a not guilty verdict...villages commissioner targeted and ruined for daring to challenge desi and the gang is cleared of all charges. Someone should go to jail for the way this man was treated

A Florida county commissioner ousted by governor and 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, was exonerated Thursday after being sentenced to three years of probation and community service, and serving 75 days in jail, The Intercept reports.

"He lost everything," Oren Miller's wife Angie Fox said, according to the report. "They took his job away. He had to go to jail. He had to pay for all the expenses and everything. Where we go from here, I don't know. Right now we're just trying to settle down from the news."

A panel of judges pointed out "the absurdity" of Miller's charge, and furthermore, The Intercept notes, "The case is shot through with ironies, principally that the prosecutors used an anti-corruption law to prosecute a commissioner who was challenging corruption. In a further irony, the prosecution made obviously false statements while accusing Miller of perjury."

According to the report, "The court took the unusual step of not just vacating the previous conviction, but also instructing the lower court to insert a new verdict of 'not guilty.'"

 

Not serious and not even all that humorous but probably not surprising coming from a member of the Cult of the Donald.

While I’d love to see Haley beat Trump I see little compelling evidence that Republican voters would support her over Trump. I’d be shocked if she could garner more than 25% of R voters vs Trump even if all the others dropped out.

Secret Service move sparks rumors of Trump debate

Former President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he has no interest in participating in Republican primary debates in the 2024 run for the White House.

But a new report indicates that some signs point to the possibility that the GOP frontrunner may show up after all when the candidates take the stage for the fourth installment of the primary contest. The Newsmax-hosted event will be held on December 6 at the Moody Music Building Concert Hall at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The former president has made no announcements about taking part while he is being pressured by his Republican opponents to step up to a podium and debate the issues on live television. Now TMZ is reporting that they have “learned the Secret Service has already scoped out the venue.”

Haley says she would sign a 6 week abortion ban in SC. This is a major negative for me, perhaps even a disqualifier.

I’d certainly prefer her to all the other R’s, except for Christie.

 

It seems like the Swamy's strategy is to hope that Trump develops a legal or health issue (or rapes one woman too many) that prevents him from running for president, and he can step in as the candidate most supportive of Trump and his policies. Otherwise, he's completely unlikeable and hopeless.

 

Hillary was also untrustworthy, both with national secrets and her "charitable" foundation. No one wants a president that can't be trusted (except for Trump supporters, who generally aren't intelligent enough to know that he can't be trusted).

 

Not sure what you're referring to regarding her "charitable foundation". The Clinton Foundation has consistently received high ratings from Charitable Navigator while the Trump Foundation whose principle charitable endeavor was the enrichment of Donald Trump and the Trump family was fined and forced to dissolve by the NY AG.
