I don't know what to tell you. Link is from NFL.com and it references league sources. Chip Kelly may have gotten off but Terrell Pryor and Jim Tressel did not. NFL likely won't be safe harbor for Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh from potential NCAA discipline.
MEH. IF the NFL wants Harbaugh, they will hire him and he will coach. No NFL team really wanted Tressel or Pryor.
Even if unaware, Jim Harbaugh can be held responsible by NCAA for Michigan sign-stealing scandal Even if “unaware”, (wink-wink..)
McElwain is somehow in the news for this, too. A photo circulating on the internet shows a person who looks like the sign stealer on the Chippawa Sidelines early this year. I don't think it's the same guy, but McElwain is asked about the photo and gives a weird answer about 'looking into it' but doesn't seem to know who guy on their sideline is. He's standing on the CMU sideline in CMU coach-like gear, with a sideline pass, and a clipboard, standing feet away from the coaches, right in front of the bench.... CMU doesn't know who he is? There are a bunch of pics of him, but this one shows the sideline pass and the clipboard (I think that's what he's holding) CMU coach Jim McElwain says Michigan suspended staffer, suspected sign-stealer wasn't on pass list - CBS Detroit (cbsnews.com)
lol imagine ripping into him for a special teams penalty or something random like that. Wonder what his reaction would be?
That’s the internet’s theory, here, that McElwain let him on the sideline to scout MSU as a favor to Harbaugh…. The reason why I don’t I think it’s him, though, is that people have pointed out that the Mich analyst shaves his head bald and this guy has some hair hanging out from under his cap. I’m just baffled that CMU doesn’t appear to know who that guy is.
Big Ten coaches encourage commissioner Tony Petitti to act on Michigan sign-stealing scandal, per report
Big10's response, "we have a chance to get 2 teams in the playoffs, we will do nothing except roll in this money"
Along with the gumps & pups recruits flashing huge wads of cash, brand new vehicles, and fancy jobs directly after a commitment.
Escape goat sighting. Michigan fires analyst Connor Stalions amid NCAA investigation into sign stealing
Perhaps, but not equally so. Some teams catch a break here and there, which rarely happens for FL. Then throw in the non-conf schedules. This year FL plays Utah and FSU, while GA plays GT and nobody. Next year? We get Miami, UCF, FSU and Texas + MS and A&M in the west. GA actually plays a respectable schedule, with Clemson, GT (still not as tough as our non-conf) and then Bama, Texas, & MS in the SEC.
