    Eureka Springs!

Eureka Springs has been selected as one of America's Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Eureka Springs was originally called "The Magic City", "Little Switzerland of the Ozarks", and later the "Stairstep Town" because of its mountainous terrain and the winding, up-and-down paths of its streets and walkways.

Cherokee Village. My Mom and Dad owned a vacation place there while I was growing up and it was great for some seclusion and nice golf.

I was told "chocolate gravy" is a confection prevalent in Arkansas

I have never tried it but it sounds like something I would pour down my gullet

Bear Bryant is from Moro Bottom, Arkansas - though I can see people coming out on either side of that one.

Lived on Blytheville (later Eaker) AFB as a kid. Base was flat dab in the middle of a cotton patch.

Transited Little Rock area while I was stationed in Hawaii. I had my full HI getup on with flip-flops, OP shorts and T. Girl walks up to me in public and asks "you're not from around here, are ya?".

    Ar Kansas...

Back in the day he was headed to interview for the Arkansas job (most likely would have gotten it) and heard about Pearl Harbor on the radio in his car so he turned around and immediately joined the Navy. Ended up at Alabama after his time in the military was up lol
