Muff had 40 assists. Good number for a three set match.

Muff played great. The next 3 matches will determine a lot for this team - Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. Rough stretch. Would be great to win 2 out of 3.

I am aware of the Stuckey and Hutson season-enders. When was the Dixon news announced? Or is this some inside information?

I know Dixon has missed the last couple of matches, but I haven't read any reports about her status. Another huge blow if she's done for the season.

Dixon is holding her arm gingerly just like Hutson did. She could clear up the nature of the injury and whether it means the end of her college career with one simple post. After Hutson and Stuckey, silence then and now isn't golden.

The injuries on this year's team are mind numbing. Going from a national title contender to middle rung in the SEC tells you all you need to know about the importance of these three players.

I agree 100%. I'm still watching as I did last night against Ole Miss, but no longer with the lofty expectations of a team capable of making a special season. JMHO, those coming back pressed to get better after the injuries mixed with the talented newbies coming in will create another special team in 2024. I'm greedy in that I wanted UF's first national championship in 2023, but it isn't going to be.

Concur. If Stuckey and Hutson fully recover, the remainder of the team that have eligibility return, and add in what looks like another very good recruiting class, you have the makings of something special in 2024.

I'm new to watching the volleyball team, having started last year. Football is a violent sport and you expect injuries, but I didn't think it would be the same in volleyball. 3 season-ending injuries to key players? That's almost 20% of the team. Crazy.

The year UF had CreditCardGate, the football team had a balance of suspensions and injuries that decimated the team which led to UF's first sub .500 year since 1979.

The volleyball team is decimated by injuries alone. Besides the 3 lost for the season, Gabby Essix was playing with a broken finger for a while. It has been heartbreaking to watch a great team fall victim to the injury bug.

Actually when it comes to ACL injuries female players are more likely to sustain this injury then male players due to hip width. USAV published an article about it a few years back. Because female athletes have wider hips due to reproduction, the off balance difference between hips and knees causes far more acl injuries in females than males.

Just got blitzed. Too many service errors, got outblocked 18-10, and got outhit .284 to .206. They were simply the better team.

Agreed. I can't tell you the number of times I thought, "Wow, great kill...no wait, holy crap, how did Arkansas dig that?"

The percentages are that you are going to side out when serving. If you can sneak a point with an aggressive ace, its probably worth a few service errors. Plus even if not an ace, a difficult serve puts pressure on the other team and could get them out of system or a weak pass/set, leading to a point. I try not to get too annoyed by service errors.
