  4. Air Force is #1 in rushing yards and #9 in yards per carry. Overall they are #55 on offense and #3 on defense. The Falcons are currently ranked #22. The last time they finished as a ranked team was in 2019.

So Air Force dominates through the ground rather than the air… interesting contrast, lol.

Due to injuries, Navy is starting a 3rd string, true freshman QB.

AF is starting a 5th year senior at QB. Actually they have 11 5th year players.

Interesting considering both are 4 year schools.

Navy has no 5th year players on it's roster.

TV announcer: 'It's not really loud in here.'
That doesn't surprise me at all. Reminds me of when I was at a Navy game some years ago. I was told to sit down during the game. Navy football fans are a different breed.
Someone always says all fan bases are the same. That is simply not true.

Was hoping to see the kid from Naples Jones at quarterback some today. Their senior starter is excellent but he’s not 100%. He’s a great runner and not able to showcase that today due to not being 100%. Wondering if because Air Force offers is sputtering coach brings Jones in. Jones former player of year in Florida HS football.

Brother was Army... Uncles were all Army too. No Navy, but I have a great respect for all branches of the military.

I just realized that the AF uniforms are honoring the Doolittle Raid. Kind of strange since neither the AF or the AFA existed at that time. That raid was a joint Army/Navy operation.

Final score - 17-6 Air Force Falcons!

  15. Honoring the Doolittle Raid makes perfect sense. The units represented are some of the oldest in the Air Force’s heraldry (all circa 1917): 17th Bombardment Group and the 34th, 37th, 89th, and 95th Aero Squadrons (all borrowed from other units). This was the first “all domain task force”, which is somewhat common now under the Joint All Domain Command and Control concept (layered on top of the same old joint operations).

  16. I started off in the Army, enlisted into the Air Force, then commissioned into the Air Force. Currently a consultant for the Space Force.

My grandfather was Army Air Corps/ Army Air Force, my dad was Air Force, and my brother and I finished as Air Force.
