Great win! Snapped aggies 4 match win streak minus Dixon again plus Stucky and Hutson out for year. File win under perseverance and pride.

Gutsy win by the Gators, lose set one 25-23 then reel off three straight sets on the road. Impressive.

They also lost freshman phenom outside hitter Kira Hutson to a season-ending shoulder injury. Losing Stuckey (the distributor and pace-setter) and Hutson (like a power forward) is like the Gator basketball team losing Al Horford (power forward) and Taurean Green (point guard, distributor, pace setter) in one of their championship seasons and then saying that was no excuse for not being a title contender anymore. To me, that's how crucial losing Stuckey and Hutson has been.

Yes that 1 person that you rely on to distribute the ball and run plays can absolutely change how they play. The set timing, set placement, getting use to another setter. The setter height difference. That’s like having your All pro qb going down and then having to rely on your back up qb who is fresh out of college. Then she still has to play defense , smaller player at the net.. so many factors go into the struggles after losing your 1 setter. This team is going to have to grind for the remainder of the year and the MB is going to have to find the ball quick and release to the OH to close that seam to allow Muff to get her hands high and around that ball close to the pins. I’m not even going to get into setting and placement that stuff will put you to sleep. This ain’t Mary’s first rodeo lol she will have them ready.

We will need our MB’s and pins to own the net like today to advance post season imo. Been on them the past two years. Today was good

Set 2 another tight one, but Gators pull it out 25-23.
    10 service errors so far.

Martin killing it, 15 thru set 2.

13 service errors and counting. I get you have 3 major players out due to injury, but this does not account for this pathetic service game.

Gators finish set 3 with a 13-3 run to take set 3 and the match 25-19.

Agreed. Announcer said anything over three service errors per set unacceptable but a win is a win.

Yeah the 5 SE by Elle is concerning to me. It seems she has at least two/match of late. Risk reward with serving is what we are. Any clue on Dixon’s status?

Credit to the Gators for finishing strong. Only one more service error after I wrote the above. They sweep a weak Ole Miss team. Now for the hard part of the schedule, but atleast the next 4 matches are at home. They will not get away with so many unforced errors against Arky, Tenn, and Kentucky.

No idea on Dixon. I see she still has a soft caste on her hand. However, It has to be encouraging that she traveled with the team and dressed out, albeit never removing her warmup jacket.

Was it just my perception or did Muff seem to making more back row sets to Martin than usual?
Also, thought I saw a metal finger brace on Sofia Victoria. Maybe that's old news.
