Hope it works out so he can get back on track. I really admire ARs humbleness, respect for others and wanting to help others.

Really glad he got that contract and guaranteed $.

    He's already a huge winner.

I can not understand why ideas are black or white? Aren't there any nuances anymore? Real, you are exactly right as to what we all should think about AR and his skill. In the end, college players aspire to be wealthy playing in the NFL. No different for him. And it worked like a charm. Good for him...as long as he uses it wisely.

Trip and Orange, can you at least acknowledge the fact that "leadership" at the QB position is the final piece to being a long-term quality place in the NFL but it patently does not mean that is what is happening with him. Can you not see that he is an athletic freak who the other teams' defenses are still trying to figure out (when he was out there)? Running with abandon looks damn nice, except he got hurt against the Jags and then when he got his last injury that is threatening the remainder of the season.

There is a reason why NFL QBs look more like Rogers and not like Tebow. Athleticism only gets you so far before you don't have it anymore. AR is now being threatened by losing it...in his first season. Personally, I give Jalen Hurts all the credit in the world. He got right in what it takes to be an NFL QB. And he had a damn fine college career, but that was essentially nothing to the NFL. Just another gleam in a talent evaluator's eye. AR never did have that, save the Utah game and the LSU game the previous season.

I think all "evaluations" of AR as a "success" in the NFL has to be looked in the 2-3 year time frame and not a couple of games. But even if it ultimately does not bear much fruit, he got his money. And I say "good for him". The Colts are the ones who have to live with the consequences, not AR. And they made a HUGE bet. Not the same bet as the 49ers did to get Trey Lance, but still quite an unconventional effort.

Luck played several years at a pretty high level and gave it up on his own accord.

I think you're wrong and right.

You're wrong in that over his career Aaron Rodgers typically rushes the ball around 60 times for an average of 250 yards. There aren't many statue QBs anymore. They can almost all run now. And it is not like Richardson is breaking down after a large number of hits like Cam Newton. He's getting hurt right off the bat.

You're right in that arguably one reason Richardson has been injury prone is because he is ungodly rocked up. If he basically quit working out and started looking more like Rodgers he may become more resilient.

I don't understand this AR love fest. Is it because: (1) he jumped over a defender on a winless team snd scored or perhaps (2) threw a Hail Mary pass into the endzone seats (2nd time he threw a last play into the seats) or (3) whatever else?

Nothing personal but the promoted mystique surrounding him seems nothing short of amazing. He did well for himself which is a good thing, but honestly, I dont have to care one way or another. My memories are more like meh, nothing particularly positive.

The NFL is a track record of drafting gym short daddies they believe their obviously superior coaching can turn into superstars. This just looks like one more to add into the pile, perhaps.

Here is the thing about AR that no one on earth can foretell:
He may play injury free for 10 years or he may have long term issues with his shoulder or he may tear an ACL, God forbid.
While I don’t personally believe he played all out in all games at UF, I like the young man, think he represents UF well, and I wish him God speed in his recovery and future (but not against the Jaguars!)

    The GOAT will return.

AR the type of guy to win ROY in his second season.

I don't think AR went into games saying "I'll only give 50% today."
I re-watched the season this past summer and I never saw any evidence of this.

I do think he was more engaged in the FSU game than in the, say, Vandy game.
I also think the Utah game success went to his head and he wasn't mentally prepared for UK.

But the whole team was like that- these guys are human.
AR was really young and inexperienced and not that mature so he especially was up and down.

I also think he had more pain/ injury issues than we knew and that affected him.
