This is my opinion on the possibilities and likely hood of how the 24 class rounds up. QB- D.J is solid and has made several trips to Gville including this past Saturday where he helped with Seaton. I'm told Seaton enjoyed the visit and likes Lagway a lot. A couple of things in UF's favor are early playing time opportunity , his relationship with Lagway and a competitive NIL deal. In addition, the game day atmosphere at UF has been very good this year including even the Vandy game. PWO offered: DJ.s team mate, WR DeBraun Hampton has been offered bu UF. He and DJ are good friends and I believe it will happen. I assume Hampton has been told , he can work this into a full ride and can point to Kalil Jackson as an example. RB: Jerrick Gibson visited for the Charlotte game. I don't think it hurt but do not see him in the class as of now. UF also offered Nebraska commit, Kewan Lacy out of Texas. TBH, I don't see a 2nd back in the class as of now. OL: I think UF's commits remain firm and they will do everything they can to land Seaton. UF likes their current commits and I have been told Portnjagin would be a 4* if he was playing in the U.S. Seaton would make a good OL class a very good OL class if he comes on board. TE: We perhaps saw a TE emerge last week as Bordingham won SEC Freshmen of the week. Most have been much more critical of the TE room than I have as I just felt their was talent although young talent in the room. With that said, the numbers dictate that UF will just add Amir Jackson who they believe will be a great one. Adding Jackson will give UF 3 very atheletic TE's in Bordingham, Livingston and Jackson. Lest we forget, Zipperer should return also for next year. Very solid group IMO. WR: UF sits with 3 very good WR for 24 in Izaiah Williams, Jerrae Hawkins and TJ Abrams. Just adding them to the 23 class of Jean, Wilson and Mizell would be a good haul. It would make this group perhaps as fast as any in the country. However UF would love to add one more and it's the usual suspects who have been mentioned before. Smith, Ny Carr and Chance Robinson. I believe if certain things happen UF will add one more WR to the mix. Remember, UF came into the season with low numbers at WR. If one of those are not added then UF will look for a WR in the portal and may regardless. DL: One time commit Michai Boireau visted for the Vandy game and says the visit was a perfect 10. Some believe there is a good possibility he could return to the class. In addition UF is still working Texas commit D'antre Robinson. Robinsons family is pro Gator and distance could become a factor in the attempted flip of Robinson. I have not heard UF involved with any other interior DL for now. UF's other DL commits are solid. LB: Four studs who all seem solid. scUM is doing their best to flip Hayes and hosted him for the Georgia Tech fiasco. Assuming these four stay on board I could see all of them contributing at the very least on Special teams as true freshmen. DB: UF sits with Foster and Mack at corner, Davis and Filsame at the safety spots. I could see one more being added to the class. Mincey or Howard with Mincey being the best bet. Final breakdown: LJ McCray, Robinson, Boireau on DL board, Seaton on OL board, Smith, Carr and Robinson for WR board and Mincey and Howard on DB board. My prediction is McCray and one of the other two on DL. 30/70 on Seaton, Mincey gets DB spot. 2025 Class: UF is off and running and in a very good place with many 25 guys already. Candy Candy
Take Ny Carr off they list who I didnt see in the class anyway. Too much like what UF had already committed
It seems like the non committed visitors for games like Charlotte are just here to get free stuff and a free game... I never take those visitors too serious when it comes to getting their commitment or flipping them from other schools. Thank you for all the great information you bring to this forum, Candyman.
DJ moves up 27 spots 24/7 Sports newest rankings update. So far this year at Willis: 2300 passing 500 rushing. 41 tds 4 turnovers. Willis is 7 - 0 Jumped Julian Sayin in QB rankings.
Kids a tank too 6 - 3 / 230. He's built to take and dish out punishment. Ya'll watching film on Willis this year? Pretty amazing, and DJ has really lifted Willis up, they are not a traditional HS Power.
Just need to finish with Mincy, McCray, Seaton and flip Jeremiah! I could settle for that in a pinch.
I saw both of their junior year tapes and Lagway should have been ranked higher than Sayin all along.
Hard not to be on the DJ train with those stats and them being undefeated. Now some of the experts are considering DJ as the BEST HS QB out there. Some like him more than Dillon. Very happy for him and of course UF.
Have to give credit to Napier and staff for focusing attention on DJ. We all knew he was good but I don’t think most people/coaches/services thought he’d be pushing for #1. They must have seen something special.
