If we treat our next bowl as we treated the last 3 then we should turn down the invitation. I really don't see the point of going to a game and then going through the motions. Now- there is another solution. Actually come to play and give our best effort in the bowl. You know- like we did in 18 and 19 with Mullen. The players really need to be honest here, up front, so they don't waste everyone's time again. Not to mention the fan's money. Just my 2 cents.
Dabo isn't losing to an OC he fired more than a decade ago....IMHO. His teams get plenty of sleep, show up and play hard with integrity. Gators tinker with schedule to fight road woes
Looking at that schedule Id say UFs chances of winning 6 look a lot better than UCFs at this point. In fact if the Gators cant win at least 6 this year, it is hard to see them bowling next year.
I agree that he won't opt out...only players that believe they will go in early rounds do that. Don't know if he will be leading us next year, there is a lot of expectation for Lagway. My concern is more about Piersall, players that declare...maybe Montrell, couple of OL, Cam Jackson, Umanmielen, Kimber...also players that enter the portal and players that decide to have medical procedures after the final regular season game to give more time to heal. All things that lead to attrition for a game that has little meaning in the grand scheme of things.
I agree. As for the Holes, I don't think their team is that good, which makes me think Clem's son is not that great. I like that we get the Holes at home.
I would take any bowl game but I also want one we can win. I don’t care about “fun” or “interesting” matchups. I want a winning season and preferably a win in the bowl game. Build momentum and keep our recruiting class intact. Win…that’s it. I don’t care if the team we play in a bowl game is UMass. Just win and build momentum. Billy is trying to build a program and winning cures everything. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
We'll know just about everything after this weekend won't we? Lose to South Carolina and we're simply not going anywhere.
