Just when @gatorwilly was starting to make a move toward the top, he dropped 400pts. We have a new challenger though in @danmanne65, who went all in on the Gators and had it pay off. He's now a mere 262pts behind the leader. (Unofficial) by the numbers:

• Faves went 5-5 this week and are 33-25-2 on the season.
• For the third straight week, one panelist went bust. We'll miss ya, coach!
• The 37 member panel is now at 26. In previous years, this number fell more precipitously.
• Eleven out of 27 panelists had a plus week. Everyone made picks.
• @danmanne65 (+688.5) and @TWGator (+305) were the week's biggest winners.
• The Gators cover kept a couple panelists alive and put one in contention.

I think it's time I go for broke. Worst case, I can then focus all of my attention on my pick'em where I actually have a shot to win!

Plus 90 for Iowa
plus 45 for taking the stinking dogs
less 50 for taking Deion...ugh..serves me right.

792+90+45-50 = 877. You have me at 827

Looks like it was a typo on my behalf, and the correct number is 877. Not sure how I input 827 but I'll blame bad eyes and fat fingers for now.

 

My pick actually was more of an anti UK pick than pro UGA.
I told the whole board BEFORE our game that UK treats us like their super bowl while we save our best efforts for UT, UGA and FSU. (And I bet on UK.)
I was proven right on that one even though some on these boards violently objected and assured me we would come out focused.

Funny how those same posters never told me I was right after yet again we sleepwalked, while they fired on all cylinders.
Hmm.

I also told the board that, for whatever reason, UK tends to mail it in vs UT/ UGA/ USCe.
So I decided to put some points on that one too.
I was right again.

The funny part is my other picks are well under 50% this year.
