Not necessarily specific for McCarthy, but I’ll believe him quitting when I see it. Big time politicians generally don’t leave. Look at Biden, inmate number P01135809, feinstein, RGB; all stayed longer than they should have to the detriment of their party/country. It’s actually bizarre how leaders cling to leadership roles. But if McCarthy does leave, good for him. I just wish he would have fought the crazy maga caucus early on. If he did he could hold his head a bit higher right now and might still be speaker. Instead we have new maga hero gaetz calling the shots.
