The Gators Have Won Their Last Game of 23 (According To Stewart Mandel)

The Dores put up 28 on UK last week even with 3 turnovers. Our offense is atrocious compared to VU's, sadly.

We do play "better" at home, but man it's looking rough right now.

All remaining games are tough.

We SHOULD beat Vanderbilt but I wouldn’t go betting money on it.

There is a real possibility we lose the rest of our games. I still think we win 5-6.

 

I predicted 3-9. I was half ass joking. In reality, I may have overshot. What I saw yesterday? There are no leaders out there. The defense has regressed with a glaring deficiency in basic fundamentals, i.e. tackling. Several times I saw the containment on counter runs by UK engage the pulling OL by turning their backs to the lineman rather than meet head on. How the hell you going to stay in the play with your back turned to it? We were supposed to be faster across the board. We looked like we were running in mud compared to KY. Honestly, it looks like the coaches have lost the players. I remember 0-10-1. That’s what it felt like yesterday.

 

I had to look: Vegas has the Gators minus 14.5 versus Vandy. Based on what we saw yesterday or " the brand"? I get it, the oddsmakers are good at what they do and they want money to come to both sides, but....

 

Looking at our schedule preseason, you could have made an argument for 3-9 to 8-4 depending on what showed up. Schedule was brutal and I never could see more than 5. Never thought we would continue to look incompetent.
