Franks wasn't that bad and had some awesome plays but the thing that always bothered me is he would always run out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage instead of throwing it away. He did it so much I started counting how many sacks he should have got credit for in a game.

In today's world of college football, the head coach at a big time program should be only the CEO unless they are a defensive or offensive genius (see Spurrier, Steve or Leach, Mike). At UF, you should run the program like a business and the CEO should not also be the CFO or the COO. It is simply too much too handle. Napier seems to understand how to run a program properly but the jury is still out on his coaching/offensive mind. As a result, he should absolutely be hiring an OC and DC, period. He is a good coach but is clearly not an offensive genius.

Another troll and venom? Just running your mouth without facts, typical of you.

Running a mundane, out-dated O without a real OC and QBC because "analytics" has proved it's the best path to success?

No on-field STC because "analytics" has proved it's the best path to success?

Shut your offense down once you got a lead even still have a whole 2nd half to play?

Going for 2 pt conversion in the 2nd Q because of "analytics" said so?

    LOL

Give me some examples BN's "analytics" success, please! Use some facts, not just puke

I'd go 5 wide with a 00 personnel... Someone will be open in that kind of line-up. If not... run it, Mertz is far from slow. Or... a 10 personnel will do in a pinch.

But "muscle-ball" will not work in the SEC... He has to know that.

According to Skink, running into a 9-man box with cover 0 is a good strategy because "analytics" told BN to do it. LOL

That's on defense. My play was an offensive line up, and the 9 in the box would get smoked on defense...

Muscle-ball does not work. We need smarter plays to get into the endzone.

We need to work smarter not harder...

You’re posting history. They are the examples. Always present when thing’s perceived to be down …and largely absent otherwise. Spells troll.

His next positive remark will be his first. Always chimes in with negativity and hyperbole but zero constructive criticism.

If you want to be a Disney Gator, just read the front page.stories and don't bother to post.

I have said BN is the best CEO type since Meyer, of course you never paid attention. How many times do I need to repeat that to not be a troll? He's a CEO, not a tactician, not a good OC/QBC. that's my opinions and many here and in other places share that opinion.

When I point out deficiencies in the program, I wish it could be corrected so we can be better. Of course to Disney Gators that's a sin. To satisfy people like you, one has to be like live in North Korea or China, where the "Great Leader" can do no wrong and pointing out any mistakes can be a crime and charged as traitor (or "troll" in your case). I think move out there will really benefit people like you since finally you guys can happily reside in a place with one unanimously voice and one voice only.

    LOL

Who will be the first to say, "The Emperor has no clothes"? I too wish Coach Napier would hire a true OC this coming year. I think he is a great manager but his play calling needs a little more explosive tweaking.... I'm sure there are MANY factors that this offense is the way it is..... Personally, I love the gunslinger approach....., but that's just me.... :) Heck, we are 3-1 and our outlook is getting better, at least in my mind for this year. Just being a fan and chiming in. I remember a headline in the Orlando Sentinel one year when the Gators looked bad on O in a loss,.... "Ammadeeville Horror"

    GO GATORS!!!!

You must not read much on here. There is a lot of back & forth, which is both accepted & healthy … but yet, you really stand out. Its really not hard to to see a troll, like yourself. Maybe you’re just trying too hard.

I think when most criticize the offense, they mean the passing offense. They're thrilled with the running offense. Hell, they're probably happy with the short passing game (high completion %, low interceptions.)

Getting a new deep-ball OC might mean losing those things. (Sure, complementary football, etc.)

I think folks here are ok with that. Long-ball is entertaining. As a thought experiment, imagine two variations of a season:

    1) Long-ball heavy (like last year) with poor running. 6-5 record, but higher-scoring, one or two real blowouts.

    2) This offense, 7-4 record. Lower scoring, games are always close.

My guess: fans would be happier at the end of (1) than (2).

I want to see a balanced offense. Balanced to me means you keep the opponent guessing or reacting rather than anticipating. It drives me absolutely insane watching us bunch up and then the D essentially has 11 guys in the box and we run the ball. Just once, can we just loft up a bomb to 1 of 4 players running go routes out of that set? If for no other reason than to back them off for our next run.

I had a similar thought. Just a couple times a series, chuck one 50yds down field. If the guy's covered, chuck it 10yds over his head. Anything to get the defensive backfield to backpedal or hesitate at the snap. With our backs, we should be able to pick up a first down if the box isn't loaded. Burn a 2nd and 2 throwing it away long instead of running straight into 11 dudes.
