Post-Game Discussion: Charlotte at #25 FLORIDA

Thought we played alright given the circumstances. I feel like we have always played down to our opponents for the last 20 or so years. Maybe that’s just me though.

Offense played OK except red zone, but looks like we have a solid kicker now. Why has he not always been the kicker?

Defense, still young and still balling out. Few mistakes but bend before break.

Ricky, dear lord that is a catch that will go down in history. Obviously not the most impactful catch like the stop and pop, jump pass, or others, but that was the nastiest catch I’ve ever seen! Makes some of OBJ’s look pedestrian. You just don’t catch a ball that way and then take a hit like he did and hang on.

Overall, I think we’ll be alright this year. I feel like we can play with anyone in the East

 

If you need 5* to run your offense right, your offense sucks.

 

Billy was a bit testy in the pc, imho, first time I think I’ve seen that. He had a Ron Zook moment and mentioned relying on analytics several times. He clearly not happy about tonight, even though he tried several times to dress it up. Should be a very interesting week.

 

Sooo..UK and UF evenly matched at Lexington!

 

Why would any fan of this team rationalize the horrific in-game coaching we saw tonight? Makes no sense. How am I wrong about this?

UK hasn’t shown much, I think UT is better based on the resume thus far.

UK game will be won by the team who is more physical. It has been that way for a couple of years.

 

I think it’s awfully coincidental that the two coaches the fanbase wanted replaced miraculously found new jobs that they weren’t looking for. I think it’s likely they were encouraged to find something else.

^That’s an opinion, but it’s at least as much of a “reality” as us just getting lucky they found new homes. There’s nothing honest about calling an opinion based on nothing “reality”.

 

Sort of a misleading statement since ugas offense and team is flush with *5's. Same with Texas who has a 5* #1 QB leading their offense, USC has a Heisman winner leading their offense, bama had a 5 star amd Heisman winner running their offense the last last few years. This year they don't and they don't look the greatest. Don't need the QB to be a 5 star but you need some elite players with that QB none the less, see UGA and stetson Bennett

How many vertical down field strikes tonight? I don’t recall many. It’s the one thing still missing in the offense. Against this team, I honestly thought we would see more. I have a working theory, and it’s not good.

 

That was a suggestion for someone else. Personally I enjoy the sunshine pumping. It gives me something to laugh at while my TV makes me want to cry.

 

Game was never in question, but coach kind of set the tone on our 2nd drive kicking the FG on 4th and 1 after scoring a TD our first drive. ST had their best game of the year and Smack has taken charge of FG duties. The offensive line was brutal and Kingsley is walking around in a boot. Maybe Tre being healthy will help against KY and we can’t be - 2 in TO margin. Go Gators!!!

I don't know what any of the teams you listed has to do with what I said, or how it is in any way misleading, it is my opinion.

 

I hope we see more downfield passing.
