Apologies if this is addressed elsewhere, I did search the site but no luck. Going to the Tennessee game this weekend and been awhile since I drove up for one myself (more than ten years). Game time is 7 p.m. and due to other commitments may not make it to town until 6 pm, which cuts it close.

So obviously we need to be able to park relatively closely. I recall parking in the houses over by the law school back in the day, and would happily pay a reasonable amount to do so again, especially given proximity. ("Reasonable" in my mind is $50 or so).

A dependable alternative is to park at one of the locations that offers shuttles, of course, but that seems like it might take a bit of time.

Regular vehicle, not an RV. Any advice appreciated!

I'd park at the Hilton and jump on the shuttle. Quick trip and easy to get out after the game. If you have 4 or less you probably pay less.

If you do the shuttle, get there more than 30 min early. I took the shuttle to a game LY, got there 30 min before the game and they waited on late stragglers to get on the bus, so we got into the game 15 min late.

Approach from 8th avenue and turn on to NW 22nd street keep driving towards Univ Ave plenty of parking for $50 or less, think 1-2 Aves or 3-5 Places. (pick a location on the west side of 22nd easier egress after the game)

less than 10 min to stadium enter thru the NE corner of the stadium, MUCH smaller to no wait vs anything on the west side

leaving after the game it should faster to use Univ ave to head west, it will be a cluster to try to get back to 8th on 22nd.

    FYI
take your first Right (NW 23rd st) will take you back to 8th Ave if necessary

    Enjoy the game

Was this from the Hilton lot or the mall? I've never had more than a 5 minute wait behind the Hilton. Plus it one of the closest routes and hardly ever gets caught up by traffic.

6pm is cutting it close for any parking. VA parking is free and is just a 20 min BRISK walk to stadium.

So $15 is per person, not per vehicle? How much is student ghetto parking nowadays if there’s still such a thing?

Two years ago we were in town for the Tennessee game. Not wanting long walk to the stadium we found the perfect parking spot. 150 feet from the stadium on the ground level in the parking garage...the only hitch..it was $275.00. But I would do it again. Did the same in Salt Lake City at the Utah game..great parking: the rest of the experience sucked.

You can buy parking passes here. They are pricey though.

Yep I have no idea on the other. I do know after any game when I am sitting on the bus, watching the thousands of other folks walking block after block, while I'm sitting in AC, the $15 dollars sure feels worth it when I get to the car beyond most of the traffic jams heading south. If its raining that's a whole other story.

So there’s no houses in the area providing parking for GameDay?
