Funny how certain events in American history are "Never forget!" while other events in American history are "Get over it"
Exactly, for every 90s-00s Gators football player I remember, I've forgotten a key piece of American history. Bleeding Kansas? Dont remember playing them, but sounds like we kicked their ass.
9/11 was indeed a dark day for America, as George Washington was soundly defeated and driven back in a massive retreat by General Howe in the Battle of Brandywine Creek. Philadelphia was left unprotected and the British captured it two weeks later. D.H. Lawrence and Ludacris were born. Johnny Unitas died. Pete Rose got his 4192nd hit to pass Ty Cobb. The Ford Pinto exploded onto the scene.
One of his finer moments, indeed. BUT, the invasion of Iraq and the foray into Afghanistan changed history in the Middle East. But for Cheney's inluence, we would have saved thousands of lives and trillions of dollars, and the region would be more stable. I haven yet read a scholar who believes otherwise.
I remember The Alamo but don't remember much about it. It was okay. I think John Wayne produced it as well as starred in it.
