A fetus is a living specimen of homo sapient in a tender state of human BEING. The DNA of a human fetus is human. Not equine, feline, canine, swine, insect plant or fungi. Human.

And a human fetus is a complete, living human being.

 

So why aren't they counted in the census (which requires the counting of all persons)? Do you regularly celebrate conception days or birthdays? Strange that we celebrate people for something that happened to them ~9 months after their existence. Why do you suppose that is?

 

What was the basis for the $193,000 fine? How'd they come up with thar figure? Rolling dice? Ouije board?

 

Then the fetus should be able to survive and prosper independently.

Because Republicans decided to add that about 10-20 years ago, depending on the jurisdiction. It was a law to make an anti-abortion stand, not an independent decision. The point of the law was to make a statement about abortion.

Educate yourself, and stop trying to pretend that a human fetus is a cockroach or some other species., until some magical law determines it can qualify as a human being.

 

Why is it legal for you to decide to donate a kidney, but illegal if you get kidnapped from some Mexican bar and wake up with a "doctor" harvesting one?

 

Dead is dead. If a pregt vic dies, and a fetus = a kidney, what could possibly be the rational for enhancement?
