I did not read it. But I will ask this question:

If "impatience" from the fans is THE culprit, then did it show us where we canned a coach who then became quite good at the major college football level?

Crap, did Nussmeier take over for Riley at Oklahoma??????

Dumb article. Even if fans are impacting decisions at the UAA that isn't a fan problem, that's an issue with UAA and university leadership.

The only way fans have influence is with $$, and I don't think that's an issue.

One of the dumbest things I have ever read. No reasonable Gator fan expects UF to compete for National Championships in Year 2. However it isn't remotely unreasonable to expect our team to be able to line up correctly, not commit inexcusable 3rd down penalties and not send two players with the same jersey number onto the field simultaneously. We want to see progress. We want to see a team that is getting better. We want to see a team that is fundamentally sound and very well coached. The only reason we should lose is that the team we are playing simply has better players than us. None of those things are to much to expect at a program like UF.

That article lacked substance. It's a shame what passes for journalism today. Let's take it from the top, shall we?

Muschamp - given more or less 4 years. We lost to Georgia Southern. Not in his first year. Not in his second year. In his third year. He was still given a 4th year and we went into like quadruple overtime with Kentucky in their first year with Stoops at the helm. By the way, Muschamp got another crack as a HC in the SEC. How did that work out?

Mcelwain - Boy, talk about failing to build out a roster. Ran off Pill Grier and then we rotated guys like Appleby and Del Rio. He complained about the administration and their commitment to competing. Talked about death threats and then just dropped it when further questioned. I think he was as done with the administration as they were with him.

Mullen - would have absolutely been given more time based on his first couple of years here. He refused to fire weak links on staff. Checked out of recruiting. Look at him today. Dude doesn't want to coach in today's landscape. Why hasn't he taken another job? He's content on TV. Is the fanbase to blame?

This fanbase has been humbled. Nobody thinks SOS or Meyer are walking through that door. But embarrassing blunders on special teams do not inspire confidence. Issues with sideline to field communication aren't giving anybody warm fuzzies. No, it isn't the time to call for heads but stop blaming the fanbase for having even lowly set expectations.

There is a decently high chance this was created in ChatGPT. The length, lack of logic and thin (at best) threads connecting fans with coaching turnover and not, oh I don't know, making up death threats, is suspicious.

    And research.

Pell wasn't the coach in 84 and what about 85 but rather Galan Hall.

Fulmer was run off after seven years of disappointment and inconsistency.

Skimmed the article, nothing new, same old slanted nonsense Embarrassing if that was really written by a UF alum. Accordingly do the fans get credit for the Spurrier/Meyer championships or just the blame for running them off.??

5 years for a new coach to prove himself??? Good luck with that at any major program.

Article starts with unproven claim that Napier is failing.

Only thing failing in that article is author.

First thoughts: The writer talks outta both sides of their mouth when suggesting that a) Gator fans be patient and b) CBN is "failing" in the headline no less. Also, Gator fans did not run off Mullen, McElwain, or Muschamp. They did themselves in. One might argue that Zook was runnoft (some will get the reference), but even then he showed no signs of getting the Gators where they could be. The take on Meyer is just stupid too. My take on the article: D-

Seems you get off more at critiquing posters rather than commenting on the OP. Perhaps you could reduce your stress level by simply skipping over post that is unless you feel the need for attention.
Agree the article was trash imo.
