So the assumption is if one isn’t constantly posting the same negative stuff over and over they care less.

A good 24 to 48 hours after a game, fire away, I did. However, the game was Thursday. Repeating the bitching and pot shots over and over again in every thread really isn’t accomplishing much.

That inference is on you. I'm only addressing the idea of caring less vs being negative is not a good solution.

 

Finebaum ALWAYS accentuates the negative about the Gators.

Until proven otherwise, Finebaum’s not wrong here. I’ve never been impressed with BN, and have had similar thoughts. Finebaum is obviously being extra harsh, calling him “high school gym coach” to stir things up as a sports media flame thrower. But if the general premise is BN might be over his head in the SEC, what is the counterpoint? He hasn’t yet shown he isn’t. We just have to hope he isn’t.

The reality is it’s too early to just dismiss him regardless of what’s “proven”. I hope to see signs of life as the season goes on, but i also had low expectations this year. I don’t think this year is make or break (unless the season totally went down the tubes and fails to even match low expectations), but next year surely is make or break to at least 8 or 9 wins.

 

The fact that Finebaum is almost universally hated here but still the reason for multipage threads is precisely why there is a Finebaum.

If you truly dislike this guy, quit giving him air. Right now, almost everyone here is on a browser collecting this information, discerning keywords, and spitting out data on the other end that tells advertisers that this guy is good for business.

In fact, I posted on this thread, went over to another social network site, and in between that post and this one got my first suggested Finebaum clip in months.

Sometimes the only way to win a game is to just stop playing.

 

He would like nothing more to keep the fan based riled-up so that Florida changes coaches over and over.

I believe this team is better than last year's team, and in saying that they may end up with a similar record as last year.

I still say they have the talent to get to 7-5 with this brutal schedule, but if the coaching staff is incapable of progressing and this team has 5 or less wins they will lose the recruiting class and will probably be gone after next season.

Honestly, and I am usually seen a a sunshine pumper, I dont care too much about our record this year. I figure we will struggle a bit. Why we want ridiculously difficult schedules every year is beyond me, but that question deserves a thread of its own. What bothered me about this game is that a. We have a HUGE coaching and support staff. I assumed attention to detail would be better than ever and our team would reflect that. And, b. BN spoke recently about how being in the second year the coaches know more about what they are doing and so does the team.

So the very last thing I expected to see is a team that looked like it was unprepared not coached well.
That was profoundly discouraging

Pulling like heck for BN and the team to get it done. But the odds seem against it at this point.

 

Bingo. I was pointing out how ridiculous it is that some posters want to be gatekeepers of how fans should react.
