Here is a real cool story for all us long time Gator fans..

Kahleil Jackson is faster than his father was
“It’s about timing,” Willie Jackson said. “It’s one thing to be there. Hopefully, they use him — figure out how to use him. He’s definitely built for the part. We practiced to get to this point. He’s definitely capable of making things happen. I knew what he can do.”

Florida’s coach sees great potential in Jackson
“I can still remember the first practice we had when we got here and I was asking about Kahleil — ‘Who’s that guy?'” Napier said. “He’s not on scholarship and he looked as good or better as some of our guys. And then I would tell you this, I think Kahleil’s role obviously (wasn’t) what he wanted to be last year.

Success for the Jacksons is a family tradition in Gainesville
Of course, as die-hard Gators know, there is more to this story.

SALT LAKE CITY— According to Florida Gators receiving great Willie Jackson, his son, Kahleil Jackson, has more upside than he did. And, he’s pretty matter of fact about it.

“I built him from the ground up,” Willie Jackson told Gators Online. “He’s bigger, faster and stronger than I was at that point. Kahleil is that guy.”

I remember one catch he made in game and thought to myself why isn't he getting more playing time. And now he's a starter, and he's a legacy Gator. You know all the sports sites love to talk about legacy players...

Willie & Terry were two of my favorite Gators. Couple of great ballers. Throw in the fact that Willie Jackson Sr. was the first black man to play for the Gators and it's an amazing legacy. Can't wait to see the third generation get his.

He looks like a grown man out there now and the "snag radius" is really impressive. He looks like a real load for the avg. CB to me. Not huge, but rangy and angular and he has a knack for plucking a FB with one hand while in an awkward position. Great looking legacy talent from out of the blue, IMO. It's great to be a Florida Gator!

6-3 215 with sub 4.4 speed, quickness and one handed catching ability and the quickness above are elite measurables.

His intangibles, as the son of one of our Jacksons, a lifelong
Gator with NFL lineage, and the knowledge that comes from playing a passing high school qb and a willingness to forgo scholarship opportunities to stay at UF are even better.

He might just be that freaking "UNICORN" we didn't even know we had on the team...

I'm definitely feeling better about the receiver room these days. KJ is impressive by any measure; I love that he came in here and just took that spot outright with zero fooling around.

His case is crazy. That size, sounds pretty athletic (could definitely hoop a little), productive as a QB in high school, son of a NFL player, and you can’t find a single recruiting profile for him with any service. No senior clips on hudl. Nothing. No clue if even received legit offers.

    Great story no matter what.

I would be thrilled if he is the surprise of the season. Hopefully we have a few guys surprise this year on offense and defense and specials.

He’s got some sticky hands and gets to the ball in some unusual angles. I guess kinda positions his body well for the ball to be only catchable by him.
