The media that is telling you Trump and his cronnies have done XYZ (and everyone else has NEVER, EVER done anything close to it) is seen here blatantly lying and misrepresenting what Vivek said.. He clearly says that we should know the answer and clearly says he "thinks the answer is probably no" but here we are, CNN doubling down showing they struggle with reading comprehension. Im leaving this right here to let you guys dismiss it and apologize for what is clearly biased and dishonest reporting. Funny, CNN doesn't have a comment section to give feedback to their drivel. Yet we are said to believe EXACTLY what the media tells us, as long as its liberal leaning talking points. Im telling you right now Im not responding to this thread and I've already had enough of Too Hot already and I havent even been around this place in a long time hoping for change (it got worse) so I won't be back anytime soon. I truly hope Im wrong and we can get someone in office that can bring us together. Otherwise, we are headed to some bad times at a minimum and all the way and yes including some simblance of a civil war or attempt by states to suced from the Union. If Fox did this about anything Hillary or Biden all of you would be up in arms with a 32 page long thread. No credibility. Later Gators! Fact check: Audio debunks Vivek Ramaswamy's false claim that he was misquoted about 9/11 | CNN Politics The point being that she is trying to get him in a "gotcha" moment and make him look like a truther. He was making a comparison to Jan 6 about agents being in the crowd that we didn't know about and IF... IF there were any agents on board the flight the american people should know (because they lied about the Saudi's which we are just finding out). It was about the government being truthful but you people don't like questions. You want to dictate everyones future while shaming anyone who tells you how to live your life. Again, no credibility. Not a single one of you.
I appreciate you don’t wish to trust the media that writes which may be inconvenient. To be fair, much of the media is to blame “for taking sides.” And so, read the facts. Below is the link to all of the evidence collected by the January 6 Committee. Disregard their conclusions, we all get that Trump supporters believe it to be partisan. But review the hard evidence - the written memos authored by Trump’s team, the testimony from Trump’s appointees. Make your own INFORMED conclusions based on real, hard, legitimate evidence. We really don't need your semi-regular visit to tell us "both sides are the same" and then dip out. Feel free to dip out permanently. Your positions on things have been duly noted.
How is you response here responsive to the op's specific point? Maybe I am reading too much into it, but OP seems to be calling out the media for misrepresenting a candidate's position. You post seems to be about the position (I think) but even that is not really responsive. The 400 or so page congressional report is clearly partisan...one just needs to look at the headings. But regardless, a cursory review (I did not read the whole report) seems to be lacking in answering the question the OP references. I don't mean to imply you cant post anything you want here. I am just saying the point raised in the OP is valid, and should be unequivocally answered by our government. I do not think it has to date.
Every witness against Trump is a republican. Most are his former employees. Just because the committee was run by Democrats and patriotically leaning republicans and delineated things Trump did wrong doesn't make it a partisan effort.
If I understand this correctly, the Atlantic story quoted him as saying he has questions about 9/11, including whether or not there were federal agents on the planes that hit the towers. Ramaswamy is disputing that, claiming that he was talking about federal agents involved in Jan. 6, not 9/11. So Atlantic released the audio of him saying: “I think it is legitimate to say how many police, how many federal agents, were on the planes that hit the Twin Towers.” So what exactly are we arguing about here?
Thank you. I was scratching my head trying to understand the entire point of the OP about MSM. Since self imposed ban from own thread, guess we will never know.
Yeah, I had to read it a couple of times to try to figure it out. Maybe he'll come back and explain how “I think it is legitimate to say how many police, how many federal agents, were on the planes that hit the Twin Towers" isn't about federal agents on the planes that hit the Twin Towers.
That poster thinks he has the right to tell people, in his own words, not to post here... He's tried that crap with me too. He seems to think he owns this place and that he has the right to let you know how he feels about others posting. That is the simplest way to break down what he just said to the OP.
Don't leave becasue of that hater, or any other hater... There are some of us that would like to debate politics without the haters constantly insulting you and I. Forget about their personal insults and speak your mind here. We know the MSM is just another arm of the DNC, we all see what's going on in politics... There are some of us that would like to discuss this without the Leftists constantly calling us out for our accuracy and truth. They live off of propaganda and lies. It's a means to an end for them. I know it... many Pubs here know it... and they know we know it. It's quite clear that only the Dems are allowed to be "misquoted" in anything they have said in the past. That speaks volumes about who they really think they are... above reproach. But the truth is not what they say it is, we all know this.
You are exactly correct. The OP is the one with reading comprehension problems. The OP didn't even properly quote the quote. On this one issue, the OP owes the MSM an apology. Ramaswamy was clearly talking about 9/11 in that quote and he denied it. The tape was released and The Atlantic was correct, he said those exact things. In response to the proof that he lied, his campaign said it was taken out of context, another lie. For context, this is slender fingers exact quote: "I think it is legitimate to say how many police, how many federal agents, were on the planes that hit the Twin Towers. Maybe the answer is zero. It probably is zero for all I know, right? I have no reason to think it was anything other than zero. But if we’re doing a comprehensive assessment of what happened on 9/11, we have a 9/11 commission, absolutely [that] should be an answer the public knows the answer to." Two things: 1. There is no way in hell that is a reference to Jan 6. 2. If you are not a 9 11 denier, why even bring that up? The "...probably is zero..." verbiage does not shut the door of suspicion he just opened. I see why he likes Trump.
I have no problem with people on either side calling out various media organizations, and I'm sure we are all bias with respect to when and how much we do it. Having said that, rants about the left's monopoly on the "MSM" ring more and more hollow every passing year since the days when Rush and others were coming onto the scene. Fox News has dominated so much that the right often mocks the ratings of its competitors. There's also Newsmax and OAN now. Twitter (X) is owned by the wealthiest man in the world who openly roots for Republicans and spreads conspiracy theories about Democrats. Local papers and stations are being bought up by companies like Sinclair. The right absolutely dominates talk radio. It has a bunch of best-selling authors and online influencers on a host of platforms. Somehow, and apparently by definition, none of that can be considered part of the "mainstream" media. If there is a more clear example of a victimhood mentality, I can't think of one.
Ramswamy uses dog whistles for alt right just like Trump… Im not saying there were agents on board but we should definitely ask the question and look into it because… well because of Qnuts votes. Priceless OP. Stand back and stand by Qs.
You missed my point, which of course is on me. My point is as follows- if you don’t trust the media, do some homework. Look at the evidence which the poster claimed didn’t exist. And you cite to the January 6 “partisan” memo. I say ignore it. Read the actual documentary evidence. Make up your mind, after being informed, rather than stay in the state of never ending “listless vessel.”
I have no such belief about the MSM... unless I forgot to separate the RINOs from the Dems. Those two Partys control everything, and they're in lock step with many common political positions.
Thanks for posting this River. I had read that story a couple of times and failed to understand what the point of the OP even was. Either Ramaswamy was confused or flat out lied about what he previously said. Either way, the CNN folks were accurate in how they reported this.
Come on. The purpose of the board is to express and discuss different opinions on the topics of the day. No need to encourage anyone to leave ...
