On other unsavory aspects of his tenure, Biden had a clear path to declaring a victory over ‘Covid.’ Instead he chose to hold onto it and even brandish over 800k ‘Covid deaths’ under his watch … https://x.com/ltcddata/status/1694648013111623731?s=61
Green = sarcasm font color, as are the upside down smilies. I posted it because the OP provided no commentary, which is actually required per board rules.
This, of course, has absolutely NOTHING to do with Biden. Biden's America . . . . . The US Economy Is Great. Stop Worrying About It.
When compared to other G7 countries, the US has the highest GDP growth and lowest inflation rates. This too is Biden's America.
Biden's America . . . . . Under Biden, US oil production is poised to break Trump-era records | CNN Business Critics accuse President Joe Biden of waging a war on the oil industry that is hurting consumers at the gas pump. And yet, on his watch, US oil production is poised to shatter all-time records set during the Trump administration. US oil output is now projected to rise to an average of 12.8 million barrels per day this year for the first time ever, according to federal estimates released Tuesday.
Biden's America . . . . Biden infrastructure law infuses $220 billion in announced projects . . . . . And I think it's bigger than what happened during the Eisenhower administration, when they built the highway system, when you accumulate all of it," Landrieu said in a briefing with reporters.
Thanks, AzCatFan! Biden's America . . . . . The US economy is doing way better than the rest of the rich world The US is performing much better than many other wealthy nations when comparing economic growth and inflation rates. The US had the highest GDP growth since the start of the pandemic among the G7 countries, an informal group of industrialized democracies. This data further suggests the US is not heading toward a recession.
Biden's America . . . . . Biden's climate law has led to 86,000 new jobs and $132 billion in investment, new report says | CNN Business A year after Democrats passed their sweeping $750 billion climate and health care law, it’s leading to a surge of clean energy projects and job creation, according to a recent Bank of America report. More than 270 new clean energy projects have been announced since the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), with private investments totaling $132 billion, according to the report. These investments are expected to be accompanied by more than 86,000 jobs, including 50,000 jobs related to electric vehicles.
Do you think they operate with the same security hours and same, hands off approach to theft here in central Florida? If so what hours does the security guard work?
They don’t make Twinkies anymore. Would be hard to shoplift. the value is of course the issue when you have multiple runners steeling up to an amount less then a felony, individually.
This isn’t Biden’s America criming at retail stores. It’s all the angry Trump fans, just like it is on the airplanes, at the restaurants, everywhere. They have made Karening and criming a dual profession.
I’m confused. Shoplifting is already a crime. It was “criminalized” when it was codified as a crime before the big tree fell. Felony theft has always been about the amount stolen, and that’s appropriate. Any attempt to make cheap trinket theft a felony is just another right wing attempt to incarcerate POC, children and the poor and financially helpless in general. Meanwhile, their corporate criminals steal billions and just buy their way out of accountability through attorneys fees and mild fines.
One example of the success of the Biden infrastructure law is that Republicans who voted against it are taking credit for projects funded by the act. It wouldn't surprise me if the same Republicans start taking credit for the new EV battery and microchip factories funded or built with incentives from Biden's other legislation that they also opposed. Republicans Are Taking Credit for Infrastructure Bill They All Voted Against North America is now the growth leader for new battery factories 5 Months After CHIPS Act, Investment Activity Abounds in the Chip Industry
My post is with regards to organized crime and large scale theft. I should have included that in my list of things. The coordinated crimes are what is making retailers concerned about shrinkage increases. This is resulting in higher losses than reserved and companies like Dick’s drop 25% in stock price. Petty crimes come on the heals of these large scale coordinated organized crime rings. OP’s position that shrinkage is Biden’s America nonsense. It’s corporate America that needs to find ways to reduce the crimes and locking their stuff up in distribution centers. Blaming Biden is really dumb.
Which is why there is a difference between misdemeanor shoplifting and felony (grand) larceny. Shoplifting is one of the most common crimes there is. Theft in general is, regardless of organized crime rings. Will always be that way because people steal, even normally law abiding folk.
Yeah, Cali had quite a few wild cases that triggered the third strike. Prop 36 in 2012 amended the original three strikes law so that the third felony had to be a serious or violent felony. FWIW, shoplifting under $950 can also be prosecuted as a felony in California if the offender was previously convicted of other felonies such as serious sex crimes or murder/manslaughter.
