My guess is malnutrition stemming from regional famines. Death was not uniform from region to region. Did you know that scurvy was long thought to be contagious ?
“This study shows that human landscapes everywhere did not significantly change, let alone collapse, in the immediate wake of the Black Death,” says Newfield. “In some regions, labor-intensive land use systems remained in place; in other regions, they expanded; in others yet, they collapsed. The impact of the pandemic varied region to region.” Has the Black Death’s Impact Been Overstated? New Medieval Data Complicates Understanding - College of Arts & Sciences.
My wife is presently healing, i.e., coughing, congested, slight fever. I haven’t caught her healing (facetious). Point: friends of hers are trying to pressure her into getting tested. There is almost a morbid desire to extend suffering into an unprecedented fourth year.
Seriously! There is no reason to test for it unless you are needing to go to the hospital. Everyone wants to talk about how much healthcare costs. This is exhibit A. That said…big pharma would love to get some more paxlovid in people…
I'm not reading 7 pages of mask debate, I'm just dropping this here: Kentucky school district cancels classes less than two weeks into year due to Covid, flu and strep Kentucky. You know, the state Trump won by like 25%...
Cancelling school because some kids are detoxing is equally stupid.* *not that I’m opposed to shutting down schools in the abstract
My impression is that a disproportionate amount of maskers are black. I surmise that it’s the effect of early media pounding on “blacks at higher risk owing to comorbidities.”
Nope old white folks at beach publix. One young girl (20’s) with a non covid type mask, but I think that was due to her wearing pajamas probably tourists from Jersey
To bring it to topic and show this has happened long before the idiots in public health destroyed their credibility with things like masks… More than 100 U.S. schools closed because of swine flu - CNN.com
The Swine Flu of 2009 is a study in contrast … The CDC mailed out one million testing kits WORLDWIDE, then soon discontinued testing, realizing the alleged virus had run its course and further, that it knew that testing would drive Americans mad. Fast-forward to Covid … In the summer of 2020 Americans were testing two-million times PER DAY.
I'm not wearing one. Didn't some state have to make a laws to keep people from walking around in masks well after covid? Or was that cities that banned masks after covid was long gone?
Understood, it’s the norm. Not to slag on your brother, but testing is the only thing that has ever given the ‘pandemic’ legs. I suspect that, prior to 2020, his symptoms would be called the “flu” and he would have rested a day or two. But in what is perhaps the most successful fear campaign in the annals of public health has people thinking a positive test may indicate that you’re going to start with cold or flu symptoms then regress to death … or as a carrier, kill someone else.
On the other hand, they're less likely to take the jab. So they're doing something silly but harmless and something smart.
