So you posted an article and you don't know what the numbers in it are based on? Do you think it's based on CPI?
I can take a guess but that's all it would be. Go email Zandi and get back to me. Again, up $8,500 in 2 years. Real wages have not risen that high. Might be time for you to just let this one die. Bad look for you arguing inflation is no issue right now.
Bottom line is the Fed overplayed their hand and employment is staying maxed out for the foreseeable future. The incessant rate hikes are to undo the damage they did back in 2020, 2021 and early 2022.
So you have no idea what the numbers from the article are based on, but you took them and compared them to numbers from the BLS to try to make your point. Why not just use the numbers from the BLS link that you provided that show real weekly earnings are roughly the same between Q1 2020 and Q2 2023? Is it just that the real difference of 2 dollars per week isn't big enough for you? BTW, did you see that for July 2023 real wages increased 1.1% year-over-year and .3% month-over-month? Real Earnings Summary - 2023 M07 Results
LOL. Yeah, I guess I'd try to downplay prices being up $8,500 over 2 years also if that was my argument. Why don't you just trust the liberal Economist when he says prices are up $8,500 over 2 years which is higher than anything you've quoted. Oh well, you keep thinking inflation isn't a big deal, the rest of us not in Fantasy Land know the truth. You keep digging deeper and deeper and it's hilarious to watch. Just admit inflation is too high and maybe i'll let it go. But we both know you are too proud to do that.
You are an exceedingly patient person. I pointed out the errors of his way with no math in post 38 and he still can’t grasp it. Trumpaloons know so little about so much, but their belief is unshakable.
You have no idea where the $8500 number comes from. Why not just use the other link you provided that shows real weekly earnings changed from $367 to $365 between Q1 2020 and Q2 2023?
Well Gator95 is a very intellectually dishonest poster and it's kinda fun pointing that out. And he keeps coming back for more.
No you didn't Skippy. It's ok, you were wrong. I'm here to point it out. And now you are purposely being obtuse accusing me of being a trumper. Swing and a miss!
LOL. You are butthurt that a very liberal Economist said prices went up $8,500 in 2 years. That's a you problem. I'm here to point out inflation is a disaster right now while you are on Tinkerbells Merry-go-round in Fantasy Land. Enjoy the rainbow sky in your world, the adults know what's actually happening.
I get it, you are so upset that I proved you wrong and you are flailing trying to throw percentages out there left and right to try to disprove the LIBERAL Economist saying Prices have risen $8,500 in 2 years. Oops LOL. Titanic is halfway to the bottom of the ocean floor but you are still going down with it and I'm here to point out every BS thing you post.
I love it when you get mad and act like a little boy. You should see someone about that temper of yours.
I quoted an extremely well respected Economist from both sides and you all of sudden don't like his take. Tough luck. Just admit inflation is still a huge issue and I'll lay off. Until you do I'll keep pointing out data point after data point. Wonder why mortgage rates are at 21 year highs? Bidenomics I guess...
You can’t grasp what real wages are. Just thinking out loud here maybe it’s because YOUR wages haven’t gone up which obviously sucks for you. Writ large this is an issue with many or most GOP worker drones who are older and haven’t learned new skills. In my career I’ve had to relentlessly adapt to change learn new technology and reinvent myself even at this stage in my career I’m going to have to master AI (for example Microsoft co pilot). Learning new skills is essential to staying afloat and get ahead even in the trades. Gen Z types see it as no big deal. It takes effort. Don’t give up!
LOL. You are the one clinging to percentages like they prove inflation isn't an issue. Wonder why the FED and pretty much every economist out there sees inflation as a huge problem still. This is hilarious. I'm not mad, actually you are giving me quite the laugh this afternoon. It's like you live in this magical dem bubble with no inflation. Real world says otherwise.
