Interestingly the largest increase was from 2019 to 2020, if I recall a certain Republican was in the White House at the time. Same for 2020 to 2021. Not that the occupant of the White House makes all that much difference regarding the crime rate although politicians from a certain political party as well as talking heads from certain media outlets are blaming recent increases in the crime rate on the current occupant of the White House.
Rather than actually responding to my post which indicated that based on your own data in a previous post the crime rate began increasing during Trump's last two years in office you posted a cute video. Why am I not surprised?
I think there needs to be some major changes, starting with Qualified Immunity and Civil Asset Forfeiture. I get the point of QA, but I think it goes too far. Civil Asset Forfeiture is just legalized highway robbery.
Possibly. Also depends on what you mean by Ferguson Effect...there are several potential ones: -Sparking of anger and mass protests causing a potential rise in hostility toward police -Conversely, a potential decrease in perceived legitimacy of police -Exposure of underlying problematical relations in communities (espec. black communities) after such incidents -Potential increase in crime rates associated w/that anger and from potential perceived decrease in legitimacy -Increased public awareness of individual rights and concern about police abuse of those rights
I could reach that conclusion if you provide photographic evidence that you're a relatively young female. That being said I was referring to the video that you posted not you personally.
