Thanks. This is a pic of Mercury and me from last December chilling at a local park. I've been working from home since the pandemic, and I miss my furry co-worker who always knew when I was on a Zoom meeting. Only time he barked during the day. I also miss the Radar-like running the front door and bark when someone was coming up the drive way to ring the doorbell.
Yes. Bernese mountain dog from an accidental litter. We are in a Facebook group with her parents and siblings. Also on a couple of Bernese social group pages. We don't comment on the group pages often because we have absolutely no behavioral issues with her. She loves kids, dogs and adults. She unfortunately gets nipped from time to time because she doesn't understand aggression and wants to play with every dog she meets. They don't always want to play in return. Never eaten clothing or furniture. She will hopefully be a rehab hospital therapy dog some day when some of her youthful tendencies shed some. Unfortunately their life expectancy is horrid and we live with the dread of knowing a long life is rare. Loved every dog we have ever had but she is perfect.
Had a GS when I was a kid. He was the sweetest boy ever. I've only had mutts since then. When the time comes we go down to the shelter and pick one out. 12 to 15 years later we do it again. But it's getting harder. The last one, who died at 15 a couple of years ago, really threw me for a loop. We lost a family member. We took a year off, first time we'd been dogless since Gainesville in the 80s. Then we decided to go down to the shelter and pick one out. She's awesome, smartest dog we've ever had, knows a lot of words and is constantly trying to figure out what we are saying. You can count your life in terms of dogs. There's been overlap when we had 2 dogs, but going back to my childhood, I'm on my eighth dog. They've all been great and have helped me get through this life.
Got my first Giant 16 years ago, lost her just a few months ago. Her name was Gator, she was an AKC champion at only 8 months. She is my canine Soulmate. We have one of her sons now who is 10, and we just got a new puppy who is now 7 months. Incredible dogs.
Awesome dog. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen a giant Schnauzer. I never thought I would enjoy any of the toy breeds but we have a miniature Schnauzer that is a real hoot. Name is Sam but He now answers to “you little asshole”.
Joes isn’t exercising any dog. Who is raising and caring for it? The nanny? Or do we have a cocaine shepherd incident in the making
Exactly. That was my point about taking the dog back to Delaware. It’s insane that he was allowed to stay in the WH long enough for 10 attacks.
